24.01.2022 SCHOOL CLOSED I imagine that by now almost everyone in our community will be aware that as of 6.00pm this evening, our region is going into full lockdown due to a case of COVID in Perth. As a result , schools in Perth, the Peel and Southwest regions including Australind Primary School will not open as was planned, for the new School Year ,on Monday. We have been advised the school holidays have been extended for one week. No staff will be onsite and no children can attend. ...At this stage we expect to open on Monday 8th February, however this will not be confirmed until later in the week. I know this will disappoint many students and their families as I am aware so many of you had children excited to be be returning tomorrow. 04.01.2022 SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD ABSENT We have been advised that the Crossing Guard for the Paris Rd Crossing (adjacent to Barnes Ave) will not be on station this afternoon and on Friday, both morning and afternoon. A relief guard has not been found. We have requested that the Police fulfil the role but have not had confirmation they will do so. Untrained people (teachers, parents and others) cannot undertake the role as they are not qualified to do so. Please note that Schools do ...not coordinate Crossing Guards.
