25.01.2022 Some Statistics from #DisasterReliefAustralia with whom #LionsAustralia #Volunteers are often 1st on the scene at disasters.

25.01.2022 The first official outing with the train, joining in the celebrations of Morrissey Homestead's birthday. The delight on the children's faces was priceless, some just wanted to go around and around.

25.01.2022 Seems the Covid19 has got to a couple of our Lions, idle for too long and have gathered some moss. On the other hand we have kept touch and as restrictions lifted we met for some social distancing picnics in parks. It was so great to see members face to face once again. Today we had the largest of all due to more restrictions being lifted. Our President has been wheeling and dealing and the Club has purchased a train so it was presented to members today. This will be a great asset to the Club as we move forward after Covid 19. Not real sure if the kids will get to ride or the lions will take over the riding.

25.01.2022 From our pride to yours, we are all in this together....... Take care and stay safe.

23.01.2022 The Dolphin Centre, Bunbury has assisted us with vouchers over the past years & they are doing it tough, so now with Covid19 restrictions being lifted we have turned the tables to support them. Today 23 of the Lions toured the exhibition and 33 lunched in the restaurant. Well done Lions for a wonderful show of support to our community.

22.01.2022 To all Lions Clubs and supporters, we wish all a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

22.01.2022 Come visit our Lions at Treendale Shopping Centre, Wednesdy 14th October betweend 10.00 am and 2.00 pm.

21.01.2022 A presentation of badges for sponsoring new members during the Centenary Celebrations. Congratulations Lions John, Ann, Robin and Ron.

20.01.2022 At the local shopping centre conducting a raffle for Fathers Day. A pleasing result at the end of the day. A big thank you to all of our Sponsors, we are very grateful.

20.01.2022 July 27th, the first meeting after the Covid19 shut down. The installation of the new committee was conducted by Lion Jim Foster, and Lion of the Year, a very popular and worthy recipient, Lion Robin Bartlet. Rob has been in charge of our Paper Rolling project for the last 15 or so years, sadly it has now finished because of the Covid19 restrictions.

20.01.2022 SUPPORTING CHILDHOOD CANCER. Today the profits from our Bunnings Barbeque will be donated to Childhood Cancer Research. Lions have been supporting this cause since 1976 and the survival rates have improved to about 80%, a great result but there is still more work to do. Australind Lions have supported several children who have survived, we are proud to be a part of their journey. There is a donation bucket at every Treendale Bunnings BBQ that we run every month. Donations received so far are pleasing, without this funding cancer will win, help us fight this disease.

19.01.2022 Lions are always there for disasters. Your entire dollar goes straight to where it is needed.

19.01.2022 Slowly but surely returning to near normal. Last week was the first of our Eye Health Screening with a local school. Limited number of volunteers involved for now.

19.01.2022 Must mention that a few of our Lovely Lion ladies organised and served some delicious afternoon tea for a family gathering after a funeral service. Many thanks to those who assisted, caring for our community.

18.01.2022 Australind Lions were privileged to operate the famous Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Sunday under the new rules.

18.01.2022 Today almost wraps up the year for Australind Lions, just one more morning of paper rolling. The weeks leading up to now have been full on with the train attending many functions, so with Christmas upon us, today we lunched at the Parade Hotel and enjoyed some time focusing on the fun and friendship we have within our Club.

17.01.2022 DONATION FOR RESEARCH. Take up our challenge, every dollar counts.

17.01.2022 Oh my, Melbourne Cup, we're in November already. Lions have been very busy with the train in action for Halloween, a BBQ breakfast for school leavers, selling raffle tickets for a day care centre at sports day, vision screening once again, so today they let down their hair to celebrate the great race. President Peter there in time to enjoy an afternoon cuppa and hand out the prizes to the sweep winners.

17.01.2022 COVID-19 Frontline Relief Grant Update: Thanks to your generosity, LCIF has now been able to award 121 grants totaling US$2,629,405. Donations for our COVID-19 response are being accepted through LCIF's General Disaster Fund. https://bit.ly/2V11mOW Thank you for your continued support!

16.01.2022 Out supporting the Old Coast Brewery today. A lovely lunch, good service and great fellowship then a round of mini golf for some. The rain tried to dampen the golf, but all stayed out and finished. A great course.

16.01.2022 Hi all, I am on" the strength to give" bandwagon. The strength to give is a campaign run by the Leukaemia foundation to encourage young people ( especially males) between 18-35 to register to become a stem cell donor. It doesn't hurt, they simply register, are asked a few questions and if suitable a swab kit is sent. This is just to do a swab of their cheek and send it back. They are then put on the stem cell register. If they perfectly match someone ( it could be months or ...years) they will be contacted to see if they can donate. Donating is either blood or bone marrow. This act could save someone's life, so family and friends if you have someone in your family who could be a donor, please please encourage them to do so. Thanks for reading this Give this some thought, maybe take it to your club meeting, ask your families, particularly the young ones, post it on, one day it may be someone in your family who is searching for a match, as is the case for one of our own. The gift of Life is the biggest gift of all that anyone can give.......

14.01.2022 2021, the first social event of the New Year. Champagne Breakfast with our hosts, Lions Lou and Glenys. Everyone is in good spirits, lets hope it continues on through a better year for us all.

13.01.2022 YES YOUR ENTIRE DOLLAR DONATION GOES BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY.

12.01.2022 Social day today for the Lions. Breakfast at the Dome followed with an afternoon of Lawn Bowling. It was so good to get out in the sunshine and enjoy some friendship and fun.

11.01.2022 Feel free to share........ stay safe everyone

04.01.2022 Christmas Cakes and Puddings are now on sale.

04.01.2022 Get to know the train picnic day today. The weather held off, the food was good, company great and everyone enjoyed the day. Great to see an almost full role up. The caboose riders got their revenge today on the driver, push a button and stop the train.

02.01.2022 With 2020 "Covid-19 year" almost over Australind Lions rolled out the welcome mat to two new members. Our own Lion Jim took charge of the inductions. Welcome Lions Linda and Alan. President Peter presented a shirt and special name badge to our first friend of Lions, Mark. Welcome Mark, your big smile says it all.

01.01.2022 Corona Virus has put the club in the dormant mode for now. The paper rolling project, our major fund raiser is no longer possible to be carried out without placing many in harms way, besides breaking the distancing rules. Our monthly Bunnings BBQ's put on the back burner for now, a cake stall and raffle on hold till the all clear is given. All members are keeping in touch, by phone and f.b. I have also decided to put out, instead of the news letter, a look back on the years j...ust to amuse, reminisce and for the newer members a look at the older pride, no holds barred. We have also been in touch the the local Department of Child Protection, and they are delighted receive the Lions Trauma Teddy, to hand out to the children who are removed from the home. There could very well be an increase at this time because of the crisis we are and will experience over the next however many months no one knows. We know Teddy will be much loved and hopefully be of some comfort to these children. See more

01.01.2022 Lions welcomed two new members to the Club at last nights meeting.
