But while the data shows that while two in three (68%) achieve this, one in three (32%) Australians do not. With a more fast-paced society and screens in our face 24/7- confusing our own natural circadian rhythm to what is real daylight and real night. We have less time to wind down therefore we are hit with a cross-road with out relationsh...ip with sleep and sleep quality. The benefits of a good night sleep speaks for itself with helping boost immune defense, reduce weight gain by helping the body lowering the release of ghrelin (hunger hormone) and increasing leptin ( the hormone that tells us we’re full) due to the fact our body isn’t looking for food to help elevate energy levels due to having a lack of rest and recharge. Better sleep can also improve mood, work productivity, exercise performance, cognitive function and memory. Here are some tips for good sleep hygiene 1. Allocate 30 minutes for wind-down 2.
