21.01.2022 Our ceremony was enriched with Sam Logan's story of his father's survival - quite emotional and insightful.

20.01.2022 We spare a thought for commemorative services being conducted today (7 Dec in the US). The same Japanese Imperial Carrier Fleet bombed Darwin on 19 February 1942 during which the USS Peary (DD-226) was sunk with the loss of 88 lives (revised figure) - the greatest loss of American lives in Australian waters. More drops were dropped on Darwin than Pearl, but less tonnage. Our links are forged in blood. We learn from the past to now move on in a spirit of unity and reconciliation, while still paying homage to those who fought, died and suffered so that we may enjoy the lifestyles we take for granted. Lest We Forget.

19.01.2022 DIVER'S DISCOVERY: A local diver has made a remarkable discovery in the Darwin Harbour. The find has completely re-written the history of a US battle ship, which sunk during the Bombing of Darwin.
