09.01.2022 Does anyone know who this cute little fella is? Hes known as a Thorny Devil (Moloch Horridus), and is one of the rarer creatures that we come across in our travels. Hes a desert based small lizard, who only grows up to about 8 inches long (20cm), and eats a diet purely of a particular species of ants; of which they eat up to 750 ants per day. This makes them extremely difficult, and up until recently, virtually impossible to keep them in captivity. Such a cool little creature!

09.01.2022 This has just been released today and will by the looks of it officially close the Canning Stock Route and surrounding roads for this season. Im glad this decision has been made to protect the Martu elders and all the surrounding communities.

08.01.2022 Lake Stretch at the northern end of the CSR is the largest body of fresh water close to the track. It really doesnt matter what the water looks like, its fresh, its cold and it makes for a very refreshing swim. Oh yeah, the bird life is prolific too.

08.01.2022 Did you know that most stations have a medical chest that is stocked by the RFS?. Luckily we did when one of our customers had a suspected heart attack hundreds of kilometers from the nearest town. He made a full recovery and we transported his car to Wiluna. @ Carnegie Station

04.01.2022 You never know what the CSR will throw at you. This one was 2015 between Georgia Bore and Punmu. We couldnt get around it. There was water for kilometers and nothing but soft squishy mud. This is why you need to carry enough fuel and supplies to continue your journey if something unexpected pops up. @ Georgia Bore
