13.01.2022 *** $1,000 CASH REWARD *** Auswide computers is a small, family-owned business and it hits us hard to have people break into our property and cause disarray to our shop along with stolen and damaged items. Despite major attempts, these intruders tried to avoid our detectors and cameras, but were not successful as we have clear footage of them. Do you know who they are or have any further information?... We are offering a $1000 cash reward to the person who leads us to the conviction of these intruders. This had a positive outcome in 2017 following a previous break in so we are hopeful that this will reflect a similar response.

02.01.2022 Ransomware Alert Please be aware of a new encryption virus variant being spread by fake "Optus" Bill Emails: As you may know, Ransomware is one of the latest threats to Australian businesses and is causing huge financial and productivity losses. ... Below is a screenshot of what the current fake Optus site may look like. This can be determined as a fake site fairly quickly just by looking at the URL.- as the URL should have "http://www.optus.com.au" not "optus-bill .net". Please note that there are more variations of these types of email viruses pretending to be from Auspost, Netflix, Australian Federal Police, NAB etc. Some emails have PDF or Word document attachments that once opened may automatically open a hyperlink to an infected website. Other emails may have compressed .zip attachments. Please inform all of your employees/co-workers of these threats.
