17.01.2022 Opportunities for Small Business Owners in Queensland!! PR pathway through 491- SBO This stream is for migrants who are currently living and operating a small business in a regional area. Applicants must have an occupation that is on Home Affairs Instrument LIN 19/051, and a have a positive skills assessment in their nominated occupation. Applicants under this stream must have full-time work rights and not be currently studying.... Queensland allow new graduates to acquire business from AUD 100,000 and settle down there. The business must not be a new start up but an already established one, located in regional OLD and run for 6 months before submitting EOI. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: You must meet both the Australian Department of Home Affairs and BSMQ criteria The HA criteria requires you to: -have a points test result of 65 or higher, inclusive of state nomination points -have a positive skills assessment in your nominated occupation be under 45 years of age -meet the minimum English language requirement of COMPETENT, unless a higher level is required by your assessing authority -submit additional documents if invited to lodge an application for a subclass 491 visa. BSMQ criteria requires you to: -have an occupation on HA’s Legislative instrument (LIN 19/051) -have prior business experience or qualifications to successfully run the business (or have previously been involved in a family-run business) -be on a visa that allows full-time work and operation of the business for a minimum of 35 hours per week -have purchased an existing business in regional Queensland (Note: not available for start-ups or home based businesses) -paid a minimum of $100,000 for the business -have 100% ownership of the business (partnerships or joint ventures not eligible) -be trading in the business for 6 months prior to application employ one (1) employee who is an Australian resident working a minimum of 20 hours per week -provide evidence of sufficient settlement funds. 09.01.2022 UPDATE: Victoria State Nomination Victoria’s 2020-21 Victorian skilled visa nomination program (subclass 190 and 491) is to open on Tuesday 8 September, 2020. be currently living in Victoria, and be currently employed in Victoria (minimum six months), and work in a highly skilled occupation in health or medical research, which supports Victoria’s economic recovery and/or health response... As part of this process, you are required to process Expression of Interest (EOI) and Registration of Interest form for Victoria state nomination. 09.01.2022 Occupation Ceiling announced for 2020-2021 financial year Key Figures: -Accountants and Auditors reduced to just 1000 and 1619 respectively ... -IT occupations have been given over 16,000 ceiling value -Registered Nurses are the highest with over 17,859 -Engineers sit above 11,000 -Electricians are at 8,021, Carpenters and Joiners at 6812, Motor Mechanics at 5205, Chefs at 2,256 and Painters at 3,303 Once this limit is reached, no further invitations for that particular occupation group will be issued for that program year. Invitations will then be allocated to intending migrants in other occupation groups even if they are lower ranking. Occupation ceiling values are based on a percentage of stock employment figures for each occupation. Employment figures are provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and represent the number of people employed in Australia in each occupation.
