25.01.2022 http://PRODUCT FIND// I found these at Woolworths which I think are a great addition to a salad. They do work out more expensive compared to buying a large tin. I think it is great for convenience as I find sometimes when I use a large tin some ends up wasted.

24.01.2022 Feeling better about your body doesn't require changing your body (in fact, this is not only merely impossible but it usually makes the problem worse). Feeling ...better about your body requires changing the way you think about and relate to your body. What have you found has helped you to feel better about the body you have?

24.01.2022 You wanted recipes, so here is one. //PEANUT BUTTER GOODIE BALLS// One cup of almonds, 2 Tblspns pumpkin seeds, ... 2 Tblspn flaxseed blended into a ‘meal’ consistency. 1/2 cup cocoa 6 medjool dates (they work better as they are softer). 3 Tblspns peanut butter 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut to coat the balls in. 2 Tblspns honey Mix the above together, roll into balls and coat in coconut. You can use whatever nuts/seeds/dried fruit that you enjoy, cashews are nice with lemon. Chai spices work well.

23.01.2022 At a seminar today for my professional development.

21.01.2022 Dinner tonight was beef schnitzel, roasted thyme potatoes, steamed broccoli, watermelon and feta salad (perfect in the warmer weather).

20.01.2022 Do you have traditions around Christmas ? What are they ? My families Christmas traditions have changed over the years depending on my kids ages. When my kids ...were younger we use to have an advent calendar that had different activities for each day, pockets and I would write an activity on each day, we also use to go to the City each Christmas for the David Jones christmas parade (don't think it is happening this year due to Covid), I use to let the kids open a present on christmas eve as that was a German tradition as my husband was growing up, many years ago I use to make individual christmas puddings wrapped in calico, this year we are going to go to a christmas eve church service. 19.01.2022 http://SELF-CARE SUNDAY// How is your Sunday ? My family and I went for a quick drive to the beach. I thought I would edit this post as I might post a selfie smiling but it wasn’t the most enjoyable afternoon. Actually most of the way to the beach we were all squabbling, as the kids were on a phone and it included complaining. ... I am sharing this as a lot of people share all their favourite pics which seem perfect. Just trying to keep it real. Even though there were arguments we still went out as a family and spent some time outside.

18.01.2022 Today is International Coffee day ! I use to be a 4 cup per day coffee drinker as a student (no judgement here on anyone that does). Now I drink 1-2 cups per day for enjoyment. I don’t need a coffee first thing in the morning anymore. I have experienced anxiety in the past, so I have to monitor my coffee intake. As it can increase blood pressure and make some people jittery, not everyone. ... Do you feel that you rely on coffee and it doesn’t make you feel the best after, I can support you in a Nutrition Consultation and discuss your individual requirements. I am not saying don’t drink coffee at all as some people are fine and it can have positive benefits to some. Some people find if they have a coffee after midday it keeps them up at night.

15.01.2022 Do you find that you struggle to drink enough water during the day ? If you aren't drinking enough liquid ie H20 (this can also come from herbal tea) you can become dehydrated and therefore fatigued, might also help with getting your bowels moving. The recommended daily intake of water is approximately 2 litres per day, this can vary from each individual. It can depend on whether you exercise and how much, your lifestage you are in eg breastfeeding. Why not try adding so...me slices of lime/lemon/cucumber, berries, mint to spritz up your water. 15.01.2022 Been there... used to stew anxiously and endlessly over my many mistakes and missed opportunities. Slowly learned - maybe not all the time, but most of the time... - how to turn 180 degrees and look in a direction I could actually change. The view seems far more interesting too! 15.01.2022 http://SELF-CARE SUNDAY// What are you doing today for your Self-Care ? Remember to take time out for yourself, especially in this crazy busy season of Christmas, even 5-10 minutes for yourself.

15.01.2022 Tonight for dinner I made a Lentil and vegetable curry, with this soup mix that contains lentils, peas and barley. I soaked the lentil mix in water so it is quicker to cook and easier to digest. Simmered in a pot for about 30 minutes. I fried an onion, broccoli, carrot, zucchini, peas, added bush curry spice, keens curry powder, ginger, cumin, turmeric, salt, pepper. Added tinned tomatoes, water, coconut milk and simmered for about 1 hour, added the soup mix in half way, garlic.

09.01.2022 Happy Monday! Don't let a bad morning ruin your day (@laurajaneillustrations)

07.01.2022 The family and I had a fun time overnight at the Gold Coast. It included yummy food, walking along the beach and ‘Ripleys Believe It or Not’.

07.01.2022 http://PRODUCT FIND// I found this at Coles and I am going to cook some to add to salads for my lunches this week. I will soak first as it makes it easier to digest and quicker to cook. Great combo to feed those ‘good’ bugs in the digestive tract.

07.01.2022 I thought I would introduce myself for any new followers to the page. I am a degree qualified Nutritionist, in a Bachelor of Health Science. My main focus is Women’s Health, specifically gut health and mental health. I can also support clients with many other health issues such as skin conditions, autoimmune, poor sleep, ongoing fatigue, hormonal imbalances and many others. I am a foodie at heart. If you have been following me for a while you will see that I like to inspi...re people to make small changes to optimise their health. I don’t follow all the fads or ‘diets’ as I believe that making changes to your health needs to be realistic and sustainable, not a quick fix. I am available at Revive Yoga Springfield Orion for Nutrition Consultations, Saturday’s from 9-1pm by appointment.

06.01.2022 Some weekend baking

06.01.2022 We are going to a friends for dinner tonight so I made this Pesto pasta, obviously more than what is in this bowl. For the pesto I used my NutriBullet to blend cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds, garlic, cheese, zucchini, garlic infused olive oil, s & p, parsley, spinach, lime juice. I cooked the pasta and added cherry tomatoes, olives, spring onions, I chargrilled red capsicum, mixed the pesto through.

05.01.2022 Pancakes for breakfast this morning. I made my version of sourdough pancakes or a quick version I should say. I mixed some greek yoghurt into spelt flour, eggs, milk, cinnamon and I also added some macro fibre blend. I topped with peanut butter, paleo mix (nut and seed mix), maple syrup and strawberries.

05.01.2022 Are you looking for some back to school lunchbox ideas ? Here is a post I did a while back with a few ideas.

03.01.2022 I saw this the other day in one of the free supermarket magazines. To me this is promoting a ‘diet’ mentality. If you want to have the cheese and crackers, go ahead and enjoy. Eat what satisfies you and what makes you feel good. Obviously if you have an allergy or intolerance to a certain food you would avoid it. I love my Mum’s pavlova, which apparently is the better option, I have never thought about it like that as I eat it for enjoyment, no other reason. If you enjoy the foods they suggest to swap with, go ahead and have it but don’t have it because you feel guilty or someone says it is the ‘better’ or ‘healthier’ option.

03.01.2022 TAKE TIME to Show Kindness! Studies have shown that when you do a kind deed, it delivers a bigger happiness boost to you than the person you’re helping. Want... to contribute more kindness in the world? Here are several simple acts you can try today or next week during #QMHW. Make time to call or text a friend that you haven’t spoken to for a while, or check in on someone you know who’s going through a tough time. Post a card or letter to a loved one a handwritten one always feels that little bit more special. If you see some rubbish lying around in the street, do the right thing and pick it up. Offer to take out or bring in a neighbour's rubbish bins, or to help them with yard maintenance. Donate blood. Your generous donation could help save three lives. Try smiling at a stranger as you pass by - you never know how much it could brighten their day! Donate time, money, or unwanted goods to a good cause. #QMHWTakeTime

03.01.2022 Saying no can set you free (Sugar & Sloth)

02.01.2022 You can’t hide from hunger. Not for long at least! And you can’t trick your hunger either. If you try to distract yourself because you feel you shouldn’t eat ...- it will only cause mental, emotional, and physical turmoil. . Go on a walk because it feels good to you, listen to a podcast because it’s enjoyable/ informative, call someone you love because you want to connect, journal to feel and heal emotions, drink green tea if it’s something you actually like doing, meditate for peace and a clear mind - they’re all wonderful things - but they are not meant to distract you from your hunger. . If you are hungry, eat. Build trust between you and your body. . New podcast episode is out today! Link in bio See more
