24.01.2022 Greatest Love I am unable to tell you All of what I know For truly it amounts to zero ... Yet one thing I am sure about Is that love is why we are here In fact why everything is anywhere Love of which I mention Divine in nature and it’s intention Some seek with understanding Others seek with knowing Personally I have no idea Yet this love within keeps growing Love of self hardest to find Love for others easiest to give Love of desires and distractions To keep you lost and hidden Another word does come to mind To ease the fear and loathing Connection to everything Now that is worth knowing From friends and kin it flows for sure In hard times and in plenty Hidden in there eyes and smiles The greatest love of all to many William Dickie 27/04/2020
23.01.2022 Autumn Sun Feel the Autumn sun so rare That gently falls upon your face Not fierce like summers blazing glare... Yet warmer than winters chilling stare So blessed am I to sit and watch Sunlight dancing on the waters Time to soak it up and smile Nature’s gifts freely offered Times as these I give thanks Look around and feel so fortunate Our human fears and worldly strife Seem a million miles away Go take a look and smell the air Feel the breeze and hear the birds With time to spare now on your hands Reconnect with what you have A walk a stroll so dear To honour nature with a loving smile That returns this honour a thousand fold Asking for nothing in return Some of us the last to know Our world so precious to all Connected in ways you never knew Will make you gasp in humble awe William Dickie 28/04/2020

As to what is going on More to the point What is really important To make life less of a misery For life to be more abundant Generous gratitude abounds for those Who willingly serve us Now that we begin to see who they are Health care workers bold and true Looked down upon with judging smiles Without them we would be done Poorly paid poor conditions Still show a smile for everyone Store workers stacking shelves Most casual with no security Usually kids starting in life Putting up with ageing fears Drivers who bring the goods To feed their panicking peers Poorly paid invisible Without them we’d be done Age care workers backs a ruin Worked for years in sheer obscurity Yet we trust them with our seniors And pay them poorly accordingly Now front line workers all at risk Generous to a fault who knew Let’s give them respect and love For some may be helping you William Dickie 28/03/2020
