22.01.2022 Offer of complimentary support for schools, teachers, and families in bushfire affected areas: We know that children in affected areas will need lots of care and support as they begin to return to school later this month, and for a long time into the future. There will be many autistic students also requiring additional care and support, and the Autism Teaching Institute is extending an offer of support to teachers in affected areas and also directly to families. We can off...er to assist in two ways: 1. We would like to offer 1:1 support to teachers in affected areas in preparation for autistic students returning to school, and for some time after. 2. We would like to provide some generic picture schedule resource packs directly to families with autistic children who have lost their pictures/schedules in the fire. Please contact [email protected] to register for either 1:1 support, or to request a resource pack. Please share this with your networks and anyone in the fire affected areas.

09.01.2022 Expressions of interest now open for scholarship funded places for our highly regarded VIC22337 Graduate Diploma of Teaching Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The course is designed for teachers currently working full time or part time, and the theory to practice training model supports the development of child-centred, evidence based supports for autistic students.
