25.01.2022 We have had our hands on a plethora of classic and modern Porsches, some heavy hitting names such as the 993 GT2, GT2RS and 959. Sometimes we discover stories behind a car that make them really special, that’s the best part of our job. Having done a car previously for Greg at Bailey Special Projects, we were delighted to have him book in his early 911S. A gorgeous car upon first inspection, restored by the man himself maintaining mostly original parts. At this point Greg told... us it was actually the first ever Porsche 911S ever made, and was prototype #3, the only one left in existence. We were really taken back by how special it really was, and how nonchalant he was about it! Greg found the car stuffed away under a pile of rubbish in a South African garage where he grew up. He rescued the car and brought it to Aus when he moved here. It was a real delight to spend some time with the car, and its now on display at the @porschemelbourne classics area.

21.01.2022 At the end of last year we were given the task of preparing @bespokemotorcars 7000km XJR-S for the Jaguar concours! Although sporting a near new condition, we spent many hours in all intricate areas of the car ensuring that it was as pristine as can be. We thoroughly cleaned all inner guards, removing all dirt and grime to reveal the factory finish on all surfaces.... We spent over 8 hours in the engine bay alone, ensuring that every little crevice was brushed, steamed or wiped to ensure 100% cleanliness. The paint was polished to roughly 95% perfect, and then topped with Swissvax Crystal Rock, the ultimate in Carnauba show waxes @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

April last year we took the opportunity to do some underbody and suspension cleaning to a customers Bugatti Veyron while it was in for a routine service. ... Because of the low population of Veyrons/Chirons in Australia, Bugatti flies a technician out from Singapore ( shoutout to @r_suddes ) to maintain the local cars once a year. Seeing how the service takes place is pretty impressive, most of the cars body panels are removed to access all the important bits, even the quarter panels come off! We spent many hours cleaning suspension and polishing underbody carbon fibre. Once it was finished it was time for a test drive and the tech kindly asked If I could navigate him around Richmond... 16.01.2022 THE AA STORIES: The F40 and Forbidden Championship F1 Car This story actually dates back to before we were operating AA, I was a young budding photographer chasing the passion for cars and making some money on the side while in my first detailing job. ... I was attending a Custom Cars and Coffee event at Sandown ( which we now sponsor funnily enough ) and a gorgeous F40 rocked up. I approached the gentleman to chat about the car and offered him some photos just for the opportunity, as most young people do. He invited me over to his man cave/factory one evening and just said take your time and go nuts, it was an awesome setting with race cars and a few other exotics lying around, a real mans man cave. After spending some time with the F40 I noticed a really low slung car under covers shoved in the back corner of the factory. 10.01.2022 Tips to washing your car at home... The two bucket process: Another important aspect of washing your car is having 2 ( at least ) buckets instead of one! ... Fill one with your preferred shampoo + water, and one with just plain water. The plain water bucket will become your dirty water that you need to rinse your microfibre wash mitt in. Simply pick up shampoo water with your mitt and wash a panel or two, then wring out the mitt in the plain/dirty water bucket to remove dirt from the mitt. Pick up shampoo water to do the next 2 panels, and repeat. This way you remove dirt from the car and then only apply clean shampoo water back on your paintwork!

Probably one of the proudest moments for myself as a business owner and just a car lover in general, a story that will stay with me forever. It was in 2019 when we flew to America to present our customers Jaguar XK120 at the quail motorsport gathering. Probably the most high flying fancy event we'll ever attend. ... Mixed with a fair bit of holidaying and relaxing, we ventured up to the small towns of Monterey and Carmel where the entire week surrounding Quail and Pebble beach is just one big exotic car show. On any which day you’ll come across hundreds of millions of dollars in cars just driving around. The car we were in charge of was our customers custom built Jaguar XK120, built by Hills and co in NSW. This car was to be displayed in the custom coach building class. On the Tuesday we arrived, I set out So find where the car was being held, which isn’t an easy task when there’s thousands of cars being transported and stored in all sorts of tents, garages and airports. We couldn’t find Justin who was on a flight over from Aus and we had to call it quits on finding the car. We were commissioned by @duttongarage to perform a full exterior restoration package on the car to ensure the paintwork and overall condition can represent that price tag.
