23.01.2022 FORD GT 2005 We cant help it, new customers just keep rolling into our workshop... Knowledge+Proactive=Prevention+Safety This very well maintained FORD GT was presented to AUTOCLINIC with the customer advising of a strange sound.... Our most experienced technician started the engine and immediately discovered the noise was coming from the alternator. The bearings within the alternator were damaged causing the strange sound. The alternator had to be replaced. AUTOCLINIC also noticed the vehicle was overdue for a service. The customer gave authorisation to complete the service, this lead to the discovery of the front brake pads and disc rotors requiring replacement. It just goes to show how Autoclinic aim to provide great customer service by being proactive on the job! Not only addressing the problem at hand, looking at the safety of the vehicle and the safety of the customer. 22.01.2022 AU Ford Falcon - Alternator failure Alternator/battery (depending on your vehicle type) light appeared on our customers dashboard, heres what happened: This photo shows the alternator had deteriorated over a long period of time. The power steering hose was leaking in conjunction with the power steering pump onto the alternator. Power steering fluid is hydraulic oil. The large build up of oil on the alternator caused the light on the dashboard to illuminate, funny enough, th...e alternator still charged the battery and the engine still started. The alternator was in extremely poor condition. Our customers car was well and truely over due for a service. This scenario shows how important it is to have your car regularly serviced as: early detection+regular servicing = prevention. You may be wondering.......why didnt the vehicle run low on power steering fluid over such a long period of time; thats because the customer was topping up the fluid every week! 11.01.2022 Audi Q7 V8 Turbo Diesel 2012. This lovely looking vehicle was presented to Autoclinic for a 100,000km service & water pump replacement. Car owners may not be aware that some replacement parts can either be genuine or non genuine. In this particular case the only option for a replacement water pump was genuine. This water pump had to be ordered from Singapore and unfortunately our customer had to wait one week! As part of our great service, courtesy vehicles are available at ...*Autoclinic!
