21.01.2022 FEAR is an unexpected pathway on your journey... (especially when trekking solo on a steep mountain edge, slippery conditions carrying a big pack ) ... EMBRACING FEAR is carefully taking your first measured step & not looking back (or down in this case )... . #stepoutofyourcomfortzone #embracingfear... #mountblanc #womenwhohike #naturelover #appreciationofbeauty See more

18.01.2022 Whilst the shelves empty out of non perishable white goods some wonderfully colourful & nutrient rich fruit & vegetables are still in stock! . . Whilst I completely understand the need to be prepared for a long period of product shortage & I too have rice, pasta & flour on my shelves...I think we need to place more emphasis on preparing nutrient rich foods for our freezers. If there is one thing I'd encourage at this time, when social distancing is leading us to ...spend more time at home, is to batch cook as many healthy meals as you can..( I only have a small freezer so with that I'll have to make do!) . Jam pack them with as many different vegetables as possible. . soups, stews, bolognaise, curries... whatever you fancy. Or simply steam vegetables & freeze them. As a minimum wash, cut, prepare & store for easy access & eating. . Fill your meals with rainbow Without going into the specifics, every colour represents different phytonutients & every phytonutient helps look after a different pathway in your body needed for best health. . . The last thing anyone will feel like doing if unwell is cooking.. And the thing you'll most need & want to have available if you, or a loved one becomes unwell is a meal full of goodness..a meal that will give your body the tools it needs for its' fight ahead. It'll also keep you the healthiest version you can be. . Batch cooking (with perfect hygienic food handling of course) is a great way to be prepared for your family & to give help to a friend or neighbour in need. . * If supplies do begin to slow just do the best you can with what you can for as long as you can. That's all we can do See more

16.01.2022 Look what was hiding in plain sight As the rain lifted & shadow moved, today's heart revealed itself for the first time . A reminder.. . Even in isolation same place day after day.. new things can be discovered, new conversation had, experiences shared, games played, things read, things tried, imaginations challenged, love shown to those both near & far...... Be open. . Be present. . Be mindful. . Be accepting . . For there is something good in your day today.. See more

15.01.2022 One of the best things we can do as parents is to lead by example.. Cheering Daddy's team on in the @brightoncommunitycup annual Dad's footy game. 13.01.2022 Let's hope so! . May 10. . A day of reflection, support & recognition of this global health problem, affecting people of all nationalities, traces, ethnicity, gender & age. .... As you can see, Lupus can attack any part of the body, in any way, at any time, unpredictably, with life changing results. Whilst it knows no boundaries, the more we know about it, the more we can control its impact. . Through much research & constant personal trial, I strongly believe that a personalised focus on all aspects of one's lifestyle can play a huge factor in managing symptoms, and with the right support may alter the trajectory the disease takes... . #lupus #worldlupusday #may10 #purplebutterfly #supportingothers #autoimmunedisease #autoimmunehealth #nutrition #hydration #sleep #stress #toxins #microbiome #guthealth #mindset #nutrigenetics #functionalmedicine #functionalmedicinehealthcoach . 12.01.2022 Food for thought Do you ever feel that almost every minute of your day is filled.. With interactions with people, devices, radio, podcasts, books, tv, magazines..? Are you in the habit of filling every spare moment?..looking, talking, reading, responding, doing.. Have you ever stopped to think how many minutes a day you are free.. just with yourself & your own thoughts, where the time is not being filled? Can you do nothing and feel comfortable? How often do you give yours...elf this gift of 'pure free time'.. time to think, to check in, just to be? Can you drive a car without listening to something, go for a walk/ run without music or a podcast, wait in a queue without checking your phone, be seperated from your device without feeling anxious? I use to run for miles without head phones. Just me in the moment & with my thoughts. But it dawned on me yesterday as I put headphones on, desperate to 'use my time efficiently' to complete a lecture, that I miss the free time I use to give myself. I truely believe I was healthier for it! I think we underestimate the damage we are doing to ourselves on a cellular level, when we are in constant overload.. It is undoubtedly a passive stress on our systems.. a hindrance to mental wellbeing. I believe this gift of free time to ourselves is crucial to best health. Call it 'Movement Meditation.. Where you try to be in the moment and appreciate your surroundings despite what you are doing. Or call it 'Free time for Free thoughts' .. when creative ideas may arise, time to check in on how your body is feeling, where your thoughts are at, solve a few problems, create some plans. How can we ever really be the healthiest & happiest version of ourselves if we never give ourselves this space? It takes no extra time.. but it can feel weird & uncomfortable if you are use to needing constant stimulation...l even believe that there is a message in that! Perhaps it is worth checking in with yourself? Food for thought See more

05.01.2022 At times we may feel that our body can let us down... But the REAL truth is....we have let it down!! .. love & nurture the one you're blessed with.. . It's not always easy. Far from. But it's the only one we get. ..Learn to love it, & appreciate it daily, in the smallest of ways. . .. Consider what you put in it, on it and surround it with.... .. Consider what you tell it, what it listens to, what it believes .. Consider who & what it spends time with .. Consider appreciating what it has done for you, does do and will continue to do. .. With love consider what it is capable of doing..... . A welcome reminder thanks @sweatmasterhealthfitness #functionalmedicinehealthcoaching See more

03.01.2022 NO & YES! . No, life is for living now.. it's already here! But your BEST life is defined by the pathway you choose at the end of your comfort zone... . I truely believe that life is for living now; no time to wait for when we feel better or have life on track with how we think it should be. Easier said than done, but worth aimimg for.... . But perhaps there is truth in the notion that the 'quality' of your life is determined by your mindset when you find yourself at the end of your comfort zone.. . whether it's choosing to be proactive when faced with a new diagnosis, or to push harder in your training to gain the extra fitness, or choosing nourishing food when you desperately want what others are having, or choosing rest over play when all you want to do is participate, or choosing to learn from a challenging relationship or work situation, or choosing to do all your can for yourself rather than giving up even when it's so tough to do so, even if a better path forward seems impossible. . When you find yourself at the end of your comfort zone, as you will..we all do...try to embrace discomfort.. accept it, work with it, learn from it, grow from it.... The best version of your life awaits.. . @sweatmasterhealthandfitness See more

01.01.2022 From first crack to full hatch.. . We sat, we watched & we waited.. patiently... very, very patiently .. then witnessed the miracle of this little fella . Sometimes having an injury or illness can stop you in it's tracks, or slow you down to an unusual pace..... . It has its challenges..yes... . But on the flip side, that in itself can also be a gift, the silver lining, if you allow it to be. It can give you time just to be, just to stop, to observe, to witness things you may otherwise miss, to be together, to heal, to recuperate, to be mindful & in the moment. . Whilst his friends played outside at kinder, Hugo embraced egg watching, with eager excitement.. . . Embrace SLOW... Enjoy what it brings. We would all benefit from a little more of this.. . . #miracleoflife #chicks #slow #embracingslowerlife #mindfulness #healing #paediatrics #kidshealth #functionalmedicinehealthcoach See more
