24.01.2022 Have you ever wondered how you can have a central hub with all your equipment hidden away and still watch Foxtel, blu-rays etc on any TV in the house. 1st. It starts with an A/V installer designing the best way to incorporate all your equipment. But you must have a budget. 2nd. Your A/V installer will do a drawing showing your TV, speaker and other equipment layout with a schedule sheet. Whether you use your electrician or A/V installer to install the required cables. This... is why you need the drawing and a schedule sheet. 3rd. You will also need a good wifi network. This is just as important. There is a lot more involved, but I cannot write it all down. If you require advice then contact me and I will be more than willing to give you some free tips and try to answer any questions you may have.
17.01.2022 In this time of uncertainty with the Coronavirus. We are all relying upon the internet more than ever. Whether it be for home schooling, shopping or just entertainment. You may have noticed the speed of your internet slowing down or dropping out more often. Well before you go ringing your internet provider and abusing them etc, you may want to try a couple of things first before you go wasting your time on what seems an endless hold. 1. Do a speed test. I normally use ( www....speedtest.net ) and record your results. 2. Disconnect everything from your modem/router and turn its wifi off. (This makes sure that nothing on your network is causing the problem). 3. Connect your computer directly into the modem/router and do another speed test. If the speed has improved dramatically, then it maybe an internal problem and nothing to do with your internet provider. 4. If you are still having problems, then it could be your modem/router or internet provider. So at this point I would call them. 5. If you speed has dramatically improved, you can start plugging in your devices one at a time giving about 15-30min between plugging each devise in and doing another speed test before plugging in the next device. If you need support via phone or messaging me directly. I will do my best to help free of charge, but I will have to limit calls to a maximum of 5 minutes per household. (Site visits are not free).
04.01.2022 While most people are going on NBN, I’ve decided to use the Optus 5g network for my internet. Whilst most people on NBN either go on the 50 or 100mbps download which will reduce during peak times. The Optus 5g for me is approximately 300mbps using the 5ghz wifi and if I’m further away from the modem the 2.4ghz wifi is still 70mbps, (but please remember. The further you are from your modem, the lower your download and upload speeds will be). If you would like great reception t...hroughout your home or property, it would be better to install hard wired wifi access points. I personally do not recommend wifi repeaters as they can only extend the speed they are receiving. Now in saying that. I am one of the lucky one using 5g to its almost full capacity. Optus is charging $70 per month for unlimited data. If you decide to go with Optus, it would be best to go to their website to view the terms and conditions. See more
