09.01.2022 Is Your Diesel Feeling Sluggish? We recently had a customer come in with several fault codes suggesting there was issues with two fuel injectors. Along with poor performance and a very smelly exhaust, he decided to replace all the fuel injectors.... Upon removal of all the air intake items required to gain access to the injectors, It was found the EGR valve, exhaust cooler radiator, and inlet manifold were 98% blocked with carbon. This was mainly due to the fact that a poor quality diesel oil (but expensive to buy) was used. The vehicle was serviced regularly by the owner every 10,000 kms. All the manifolds required soaking in acid to clean. New injectors were installed and coded to the vehicle. Once the engine accessories were reinstalled the engine performed and drove like new. Remember Oils aint Oils Always use the appropriate grade with the correct specifications. Happy Motoring
