20.01.2022 BodyShop News Training Fund announced Michel Malik from Australian BodyShop News announced today the BodyShop News Training Fund. 16.01.2022 Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology is coming soon

16.01.2022 Australian TV is getting involved!!!! Spread the gospel and keep up the pressure. We need to educate the public that we are the experts in collision repairs and not the insurance companies! We are the people the public can trust to reinstate a vehicle to its pre-accident condition. Insurance companies are only interested in the cheapest repair.

12.01.2022 SKILL SETS, WHAT ARE THEY AND WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY SOON Skill Sets have been developed as part of the new Training Package AUR12. They are groups of accredited competencies that have been selected by our industry leaders to bring trades people up to the latest standards. There are 2 Skill Sets for panel beaters and 1 for spray painters. AURSS00023 - Advanced Body Repair Skill Set... AURSS00024 - Advanced Body Repair Welding Skill Set AURSS00025 - Advanced Vehicle Refinishing Skill Set Suncorp, as one of their requirements to be a Suncorp shop, asks that 50% of technicians are trained in these Skill Sets and it is speculated that RACQ could follow. At the present time, the Automotive Academy is the only Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that is ready to deliver these Skill Sets and the courses can be accessed online anywhere in Australia. "Some employers are still apprehensive about online training, but once they have experienced how hands on and cost effective this training is, they embrace it," Lori Lorenz from the Automotive Academy said. Government funding of around 60% can be accessed through the National Workforce Development Fund (NWDF) to participating employers and we will assist you in the application. It is unclear for how much longer this NWDF funding is available and we suggest to make an application well before the end of the financial year. You find more information regarding Skill Sets and how to enrol at
