20.01.2022 This Lil Pajaro came in with a broken timing belt. After some diagnostics and a compression test (no compression in 1 cylinder) and the removal of the heads, she had a bent valve. Heads were tested and effaced, all repaired and reassembled with New VRS kit, Radiator, heater hoses, water pump, and timing belt kit.... 18.01.2022 Inside a Rear Diff The oil in this Diff was so thick we had to take it apart and clean it all out. Diff oil is really Important to keep checking with every service. Especially if you do a lot of towing as it is working twice as hard. ... We have recently done a Diff swap on a captiva, we have a Kia Sorrento rear Diff booked in later in the week and we are replacing a falcon Ute Diff next week. 12.01.2022 You don't often get to see inside the tappet covers when your gaskets are being done..... Well here it is.... Both Left and Right Bank Tappet covers have been removed and are being cleaned up ready for new gaskets to be fitted and reassembled. Notice the carbon build up and sludge inside the Tappet Covers? 10.01.2022 What a week............ This week has thrown so many challenges our way. All in all most were won, still some tricky diagnostic work to be done on a few vehicles who have made it very challenging for us.... Before I began my apprenticeship and managed the Auto Service Plus workshop alongside Rex (my dad) I would often wonder why car repairs too so long or were more expensive than first thought. Guys and ladies, we do our best to repair your car timely and cost effectively. Most the time things go like clockwork. Other times things just don't go right. Unforeseen things break or go wrong, or it takes longer to diagnose or repair. Please remember your mechanic is human and trust me when I say we are doing our best for you. So thanks for the patience and support this week. Some of our customers went without their cars a little longer than usual but we thank you for you patience. Other have waited lengthy periods for parts due to transport... Again thank you for being considerate and understanding.
