01.01.2022 Hostplus - the industry fund for hospitality & tourism workers - among the hardest hit due to Covid-19 - have sneakily changed their Product Disclosure Statement to "suspend or restrict applications, switches, redemption and withdrawal requests". Why is this? Because the industry funds, generally & simplistically speaking, invest in huge buildings & developments. These assets cannot easily be sold when the members want to transfer out their super savings. They still ha...ve some available reserves - but - apparently not enough - otherwise there would be no need to make these urgent changes to their Disclosure Statement. Compare the Pair!! Always seek out a financial planner and get advice about the differences between Retail and Industry.
