Shifting out of the threaded chains of uncertainty and heavy emotion of pregnancy after loss and in to the solid creases of the heart lines on my hand #heartlines I am loving how this pregnancy is coinciding so beautifully with the Southern Hemisphere seasons deep in hibernation... for the winter, preparing to birth my spring baby girl in November #springbaby As I write this she kicks within reminding me she is with me every step of the way. 13.01.2022 This week is going to be busy in the studio. And WHAT A BLESSING that is. Shifting from a hustle mindset to a busy & blessed mindset has taken time for me. 15-yrs in corporates conditioned me to believe that if you’re not busy, you’re not productive. For years i came in early and stayed back late to prove my worth. It was a work-hard-play-hard existence and I was unhealthy on most levels! So, I’m relearning that busy doesn’t have to be a way of life. Boundaries on my ti...me and mental space can be established. A philosophy of enough and sustainable financial provision can be adopted rather than constantly striving for MORE MORE MORE. I’m decolonising my mind and work practices to provide a flow that feels right. Saying no. Living within happy means. Appreciating what I have and understanding the signs when things are out of balance. . Some examples of boundaries I put in place for my work life are: - I don’t make malas at night or when my son is home. The work requires my full attention and I enjoy it most when I know I can give it that. If I’m not enjoying the work, then something changes. - I’m grateful for EVERY SALE! I never look at my sales saying I’ll do better next month. Every dollar received is a great blessing and with that attitude the energy of money wants to reside within my vibration. It is always enough! - Being busy is a blessing, but not the state in which I aim to work all the time. If the busy gets out of balance, I stop. I change things. Heck, I’ve even shut down the entire shop to rest. - I am incredibly grateful to my husband and the partnership we create. I acknowledge how critical he is to our provision and we support each other to live a life that brings us joy. We’re not perfect at it and I have my stuff around being supported as well as recognised for my contribution. But it is a partnership and I am grateful for what we create together. Just some Sunday musings I thought I’d share. Sundays use to bring the whispers of tomorrow’s impending Mondayitis. It’s a joy to instead sit in appreciation of what lies ahead rather than the dread of what owns me. A human’s natural state is to be happy and content. Make that the goal!

I live on Bundjalung Country within the region that has for time immemorial been the traditional lands of the 8 families of the Yugambeh language group. I love my home, where the forest meets the glistening ocean and I am so so grateful to live here. . Acknowledgement of Country is something I will continue to share at events I host and is part of my daily practice as I enter my studio to work, g...iving thanks to the spirit and ancestors of this land. Giving thanks and acknowledgement to all Aboriginal and Torres Straight people and their connection to the land, waters and skies. More and more I am looking at ways I can further incorporate Indigenous recognition and voice in to my work and platform. I’m listening. I’m learning. I’m sharing.
