I started to develop hey fever as the salon where I use to work was doing acrylic nails. The dust from it irritated me so much that I use to each my nose all day and my dermatitis flared up. ... Today it is all under control as I removed any toxicity from my life, however it can still appear if I eat the wrong food ( cheese I am looking at you) or if I feel very stressed. It is necessary for our production of Vitamin D. ... Vitamin D is an essential nutrient for the body. The body needs it to absorb calcium. Vitamin D also plays a role in bone growth, bone healing, and immune system function. Many factors affect how much vitamin D a person gets from the sun such as the time of day, the amount of exposure or your skin colour. Fair skin need less time of exposure than darker skin. The lighter skin will produce Vitamin D quicker. The more skin a person expose, the more vitamin D the body will make. Exposing your back, allows the body to produce more vitamin D than just the hand and face. The average amount of sun exposure is between 15 to 45 minutes full sun without sun protection. Current advice is for people to stay in the sun for half as long as it takes their particular skin type to burn before covering up and retiring to the shade. This should give them all the vitamin D they need without increasing the risk of skin damage. After your daily sun exposure, remember to always wear a natural sunscreen with a physical SPF meaning it physically protect your skin from the sun. The sunscreen essentially reflects and bounces the UV rays off the skin.
