25.01.2022 Little Puss says it all - tomorrow is our last ever trading day. After 49 years the doors will close at 5.30pm - FOREVER. Still have some really good bargains here so pop in - even if it is just to say goodbye.

25.01.2022 How sad this little gathering of cushions looks. This is pretty much all we have left in cushions now and have gathered them together on a table and marked them all down to $11 each. Some of them were $33 and $39 but everything on this lonely table is now only $11. So come in and give them a home so they feel loved again. We are really getting to the last couple of weeks before we say Bye Bye forever.

24.01.2022 The Final Countdown is really on now. The window has been painted for the last time and the message says "Final Days..Make an offer". It all seems real now and we will be closed by the end of the month. We are working towards the last week of October so that means all stock must go within the next 3 weeks. So if you have a reasonable offer I am sure the boss will say "its all yours, enjoy your new furniture". But dont leave it all to the last day because someone else is sure to get in and make an early offer and you will miss out. There really is some fantastic Adelaide made lounge furniture at bargain basement prices.

24.01.2022 FINAL DAYS ARE HERE

23.01.2022 Lots and lots of stock has sold already but with these signs in the window from today I really think lounge furniture will "run" out the door now. So if you have had your eye on a lounge suite or a settee - and it is still here - come in and take another 10% off that sale price. What a bargain - some suites were already over 50% off so take another 10% off that price - Stock will go faster than ever now. Ill try to put up a picture of some of the best bargains each day.

20.01.2022 Check out this "ONE ONLY" bargain!! We have a queen size bed with posture slats (under the mattress) and some fantastic deep button features on the headboard. Made right here in Adelaide and covered in Ivory colour pvc. The original price for this bed was $2200 but we have now got it on sale at $990 - and we will even include this mattress shown here for free in the price. How good is that?? Come in and have a look. At this huge reduction I think it will go quickly and it is one of the last items upstairs. Stock is really getting down now.

14.01.2022 How sad does this little gathering of pictures look? All of these pictures have now been reduced to just $22!! Some of these are oil paintings which were over $150 and now just $22. This really shows the end is very close now. There still are a couple of framed glass pictures on the walls and the cheapest of these is just $65 down from $275. So if you have been looking at any of our pictures you best hurry in because we have less than 20 left to sell. I remember at the begining of the year we had around 150 pictures for sale - how the times have changed. Not long to go now.

09.01.2022 After 39 years of business in the same place we have accumulated a lot of glass pieces. And the time has come to sell them off at ultra cheap prices. Just as a couple of examples we have dining table glass all at least 10mm thick and sizes of 2000x1100, 2000x1000, 1800x900. Glass is very expensive to buy from a glazier but here the most expensive largest piece of glass we have is just over $100. Lots of smaller sizes which would go on coffee tables or hall tables most of those are around the $50 o.n.o Best idea is to come in and have a look. We even have odd sizes for $20 which you could probably have cut down to your own size and shape at a glazier .Lots here to look at if you are in need of a piece of glass. All has to go so come in and make an offer - all offers considered.

06.01.2022 After 49 years the time has come for us to close our doors forever. The big boss has spoken and set the date for our last ever trading weekend. It really is a bit sad for me but life will go on. So if you have been hanging out for the last days to buy - the last days are right now. I would have to say today has been flat chat selling so dont leave it too long to come in. I am hearing every day now people coming in saying "where is........ I was going to buy it " And I have to say "too late - it was sold last week" Guaranteed if you think it is a great bargain there is another one or two people who are also thinking the same way.

06.01.2022 How sad is this - it is really becoming quite scary just how close the end is now. This is the advertisement in The Advertiser today. Our last ever weekend trading will be this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday we will be open 10 am until 4.00 pm. There is still a reasonable amount of lounge suites left to sell - and they are all at hugely reduced prices. Also still have a couple of 7pce dining suites left and quite a few sets of 4 and 6 chairs. Funny that we sell more tables on their own than chairs? Only about 10 cushions left, 4 rugs, and maybe 10 pictures. Time really is running out fast now so come on in if you want to grab a bargain before the doors close forever!!!

05.01.2022 We are now getting much closer to that saying "All good things must come to an end". Our beloved sign writer Trevor was here this morning to paint "Hurry Final Months!" on to our windows. We really are into that last month or two now. Our upstairs floor is almost empty and only stock on the ground floor to go now. There still are some huge bargains in lounge and dining furniture to be grabbed but the ornaments, flowers, pictures and cushions are almost all gone now. If you have had your eye on something (and we still have it now) dont wait any longer or you will miss out.

05.01.2022 "Super Sexy Satori" Queen Size Bed covered in black super soft fabric. This bed is manufactured right here in Adelaide and has posture slats under that mattress to give added support. Just love the black colour - you can dress it up with any colour quilt and cushions. Go as bright as your imagination will let you. Now the special Closing Down Bargain price for the bed alone is $1100 - was originally $1650. And if you want a mattress to go with it there is a 5 zone pocket spring mattress with a natural latex pillow top under that quilt cover which was $990 and is now $660. Hurry in if you want a bargain because when the doors close at 5.30pm on Friday they will not re-open ever again for Avant Garde Furnishings. All good things come to an end and this is our end.

05.01.2022 "TICK TOCK" Time is running out on these bargains. I have just been told to reduce the price on this 7pce James modern veneer top dining suite. The original ticket price for this was $1650 and we have been selling them for $770 since we have been closing down but now that price is reduced to just a tiny $595!! Now that really is a bargain. Size of table is 1800x1000 and at this stage you could still have a choice of a couple of different chairs. Only a couple of suites left now and also only a couple of weeks to go til we close so hurry in to have a look.
