22.01.2022 Driving through Bayswater just noticed another Blockbuster store closing. Blockbuster was a global player in the video rental space, but they did not embrace digital transformation thinking how they can utilise technology to provide a better service for their customers. The internet connected to everyone’s house, why not utilise it to distribute the latest Movies and TV Series? Just like Kodak, Blockbuster is another example of a large company not thinking about digital transformation resulting in its demise. Whilst Blockbuster had the potential and capital to be a leader in Internet Streaming similar to Netflix, they will be a distant memory for where we use to rent our VCR’s and DVD’s from. If you run a business and do not have a digital transformation strategy in place maybe it is time you revisit this. We are here to help!
