25.01.2022 Phew! It’s been a big week! Thanks everyone who supported my little business whether it be a like on social media, a wave as you walked past, a purchase or an enquiry. I’ve been a little busy of late (not complaining!) and I have a backlog of behind-the-scenes stuff to do. If you have been waiting on a response from me this week and haven’t yet got it, I’ll be doing my best to cross off my to-do list over Sunday and Monday. Thanks everyone, enjoy this glorious weekend! (PS. I’m heading off for kid-free, girls only drinks tonight! Yippee!)

22.01.2022 I couldnt stop adding flowers to my market haul this morning. There were so many varieties I couldnt resist. Spring really is just around the corner and we are getting a preview of all the colourful, scented, textural, classic, crazy blooms that this season brings. 18.01.2022 I miss hosting workshops. 2020 was going be (amongst other things) the year of regular series of workshops at AV Blooms Florist...but covid has had other ideas! I am seriously considering releasing a Spring series of workshops and I have been working on how I can host a workshop in the most comfortable covid-safe way. Ive created a poll in my stories as Id love to hear whether you are/are not ready for workshops. Your thoughts are most welcome and appreciated .

15.01.2022 Sometimes I have so much to say that I cant say anything at all. That is definitely the case after attending @wildflorastudio for an Eco Floristry Techniques session. I have so much to share including gorgeous photos, but for now Im still processing the abundance of shared knowledge and riding the bliss wave of creating with flowers in an absolutely magical space. Thankyou Nadine for such an incredible experience and for giving all that you have PS. I love this arrangement I created at @wildflorastudio. It is totally free of floral foam, had not a stem out of place after the hour drive home in the car and is still looking incredible on my dining table .

14.01.2022 Introducing The Drieds. Theres something new at @avblooms - a wide selection of dried flowers and foliage available to buy individually or as a custom arrangement. Most have been dried by me, some dried by the growers. Note - none of The Drieds are preserved or dyed...but more on that later. Ive been drying in the back of the shop since we opened and it (finally) dawned on me to bring all this timeless beauty into the store to share with everyone.... Dont walk in expecting to buy a dozen roses in a particular colour (unless you ordered first of course), or expecting to see dozens of bunches of plastic wrapped chryssies in every colour. What you will find is a selection of flowers I have personally hand selected at the flower markets that I use to create custom bunches. Expect changing colour pal...ettes made up of the freshest flowers, in season and Australian grown where possible. Flowers that are breathtakingly beautiful, sometimes unusual, flowers I want to share with you. I carefully choose flowers that will work together to create a bunch of flowers that can be experienced, not just received. 04.01.2022 Small Business secrets...sometimes your deliveries are done by me. Yep, I own the business, I buy the flowers, I create the bunches and then sometimes I pack them in my car and deliver them. Secretly I love it. I get to give the flowers, paper, ribbon and vase one last check so they can make the very beat first impression AND sometimes I get to see the reactions of those on the receiving end...its a really satisfying end to the labour of love. My job is hard work but man I love it! .

No one could’ve expected the final year of their HSC would be quite like 2020. @avblooms would like to treat someone to a free corsage to be worn to a year 12 formal! Everyone who orders a formal corsage before November 21st is automatically entered into a competition to have the full price of their corsage refunded!
