24.01.2022 This year if you do one thing for yourself... make sure you take some time out for YOU. 2020 saw so much more of my clients invest in themselves and their skin, I had some real skin changes happen this year. This year many clients got back to Environ and took it serious, were consistent and were in turn blown away with the changes. I must admit, before opening my salon I was not one for using Instagram, I told my sister Aoife that I won't be focusing my attention on Instagram as it won't get me clients. I take that back!... I decided if I was going to join the world of Instagram that I was going to keep it real and honest and allow it to express my creativity and just be me and if people didn't like it then they didn't need to follow, it was all about quality followers over quantity and as long as I was reaching people who really cared and giving them something interesting to read then I was happy with that. I enjoy being creative and my social media allows me to do that and once I got going there was no stopping me. I recently reached 1000 followers which to many is nothing but to me I am happy with that and thank you to everyone who has followed me Choosing Environ for my salon was a no brainer for me, after working with it for many years and then going to a salon with a different skin care I really missed it, and missed the results I could get for my clients skin. 09.01.2022 Going into 2020 like... Excited yet Terrified (there may have been a party popper pulled in the direction of my face at this very moment). 2020 started strange, I felt energetically things definitely were a little off from the beginning, people seemed to be doing it tough and alot of my clients were coming to me stressed and I found it hard that I couldn't fix this for them (although I tried my best), and then came along COVID!! Who saw that one coming!! Amongst all the se...lfish toilet paper/bulk buy panic, I saw so much generosity that I will never forget.. just before the salon shut I was opening the door to packages of spray and wipe, toilet paper, paper towel and essentials that I couldn't manage to buy for the day to day running of my salon. Then came the news we had to shut in a days time and I was so so overwhelmed with the love and support I received. I had the biggest sales I have ever had in my salon on that last day and while I was closed clients continued to support me and pre pay future treatments... when this happened I knew me and my salon would be ok because it is built on so much love and good people. I know it's been a very very tough year for a lot of people and although it doesn't get any medals from me, I can't say 2020 has been a terrible year for me and my business, my salon came back bigger and better after the shut down and I am so grateful for that but that success is down to the support of my amazing clients and without all of them it would not be possible. I miss my family, I worry for them, it comes in waves, some days I don't think too much about it, other days I think about it alot I am sure many of my clients can relate to this. We are so very lucky here in Perth to have the freedom we have had and I hope that continues for us in 2021 and that the world heals and we can all be reunited with loved ones very soon From my very grateful heart to yours, I thank each and every one of you who have supported me and my salon, who have shown love and kindness to me and become part of my little salon family. 09.01.2022 Let's talk about Vitamin A and why it is so important for EVERYONE'S skin. 07.01.2022 I came across this photo earlier today in a Facebook memory. I would have never thought that day arriving into Sydney that I would still be here today. I was homesick when I moved out of home to go to beauty school.. how could I possibly last in Australia for a year I remember a few weeks in, going to an interview in a salon in the Gold Coast and being asked where I see myself in 5 years.. I had NO IDEA how to answer that question as someone who had just moved to the other...side of the world for one year and had no idea what the future held (and everything I could think of that I wanted would not have got me the job).. it's safe to say I didn't get the job When I held interviews in my own salon recently I said I will not ask that stupid question, because who even knows where they will be in 5 years.. for example 5 years ago who would have seen themselves in the middle of a pandemic in 2020 and not even allowed to do Beauty Therapy for 10 weeks Life is an journey and you never know what you will stumble upon along the way so enjoy it and see where it takes you What is meant to be will always be, just make sure you have the right intentions See more

04.01.2022 When I studied @pembrokebeautycollegelimerick in 2004 (I was 17 and homesick ) I completed 3 Diplomas.. ITEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO. But it was the @cidescoireland Diploma that was the bees knees and training for this one in particular was pretty intense, the CIDESCO Diploma is the world's most prestigious qualification in the field of beauty therapy and we were told this Diploma could take our career anywhere in the world but little did I know at that stage that I would move t...o Australia and build an amazing supportive client base along the way. When I decided to take off to Australia my Daddy told me I needed to bring a copy of this Diploma for interviews, so I took it out of its frame in my little beauty room that they had set up for me in the house (it was called Blue Fairy) and the next day he arrived home from work with them colour printed, true to size and laminated.. bless him!!! He was probably terrified of letting his daughter move to the other side of the world with her boyfriend at just 20 years old, but has always been proud as punch and supportive of his girls. He's always thought us to work hard and I may have taken that one way too serious, I practically live at the salon This Diploma had gotten me to where I am and I am so grateful and blessed for where it has taken me. Thanks to @ireneshairandbeautysalonkilkee for giving me the chance and starting me on my journey and @deesbeautykilrush for teaching me with passion and dedication, you have always inspired me To all my lovely clients who continue to put their trust in me every day, have supported me and cheered me on along the way, without you none of this would be possible and as always I am grateful for each and everyone of you.
