05.01.2022 This Sundays Gospel (Matt 16:21-27) urges us to follow Jesus including embracing the difficulties that come with discipleship. As the mother of Jesus and first disciple, Mary knew what it was like to endure difficulties. Imagine watching your son die on a cross? Her faith is a remarkable example for us all. #SundayReflection

04.01.2022 This Sundays Gospel (Matt 13:44-57) shows that we must set our hearts on the kingdom of heaven where the good is valued. Franciscans can follow the example of St Clare who set her heart upon following Jesus from the age of 17 in 1212 until her death in 1253. #SundayReflection #SheWhoisValued (Photo of painting in Chiesa Nuova in Assisi of St Clare with the Pope and cardinals)

03.01.2022 This Sundays Gospel (Matt 18:21-35) concludes we must forgive from the heart. This sentiment is borne out by St Francis in his Canticle of the Creatures Praised be You, my Lord, through those who give pardon for Your love, and bear infirmity and tribulation. #ReflectionSunday
