18.01.2022 Today is World Mental Health Day. We are all in this together really rings true this year! Julz, one of our Dental Hygienists, has found this year to be particularly challenging in many ways but coming to work each day has been helpful in keeping that ‘togetherness’ feeling. She considers the staff at ADK as family and her patients are like close friends - this keeps her home away from home a happy place. Her message is to surround yourself with people you enjoy and have a good laugh as often as possible. (With all that public laughing, maybe you want to get your teeth cleaned haha!)

11.01.2022 Guided Biofilm Therapy is the fastest, most gentle, and most effective way for our dental hygienists to clean your teeth. What does Guided Biofilm Therapy mean? Put simply, our hygienists begin by painting a solution on your teeth which highlights where the dental plaque is. With this they are able to show you where you may be missing with your brushing and flossing. It then guides them where to focus their cleaning for you on the day.... The Airflow technology is a spray of water and soft erythritol powder (used in cooking so safe to eat!), which removes the plaque from all surfaces, between teeth, under gums and can even be used on your tongue! It also removes soft calculus and staining, leaving your teeth sparkling! Our hygienists and patients love GBT equally. It cuts down appointment times and it’s far less intense and abrasive than more traditional methods of cleaning your teeth.
