21.01.2022 N’arweet Dr Carolyn Briggs *** What Can Storytelling Offer Us In The Dark Times? @ The Wheeler Centre- 4 March

20.01.2022 We would like to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Giuseppe and his beautiful bride Monita on their wedding yesterday in Sydney! Since our inception in 2013, Giuseppe Ardica has been part of the Averroes Project, and supported it every way he could. In addition to participating in board meetings and sharing his network of supporting individuals and organizations, Peppe helped organize nearly all our public events by putting time, effort money, and above all: intellectual input.... On behalf of Averroes team, we would like to acknowledge everything he did for our centre, and wish him a life filled with happiness and success with his family and career.

15.01.2022 Have you booked yet?

13.01.2022 What an evening! In an event that lasted 2 and a half hours, Ahmad Dari took us on a journey of beauty and knowledge with his passion and love of Arabic calligr...aphy- paralleled with his excellence in portraying several fonts. The lecture started with an introduction of the history of Arabic writing and the beginning of the art of calligraphy across eras. Ahmad later showed us the tools he uses: ink, pens, and how he makes his own pens.. It was followed by an illustration of several Arabic fonts styles- including Latin ones.. He later taught us how to make our own calligraphy using basic techniques The best part was when Ahmad showed us his own style that he created after advise from Mahmoud Darwish-- with several examples.. Last part was Q/A Nearly 30 esteemed guests from Palestine, Jordan, France and Australia joined I want to thank all my friends who attended on a short notice (as usual :) ) .. Special thanks to my father Dr Ahmad Alreemawi for joining us all the way from Amman..
