25.01.2022 Where are the First Home Buyer hot spots in NSW ? Ever since Stamp Duty Exemptions and Concessions were introduced on July 1 2017, more than 19,000 people have bought their first home in NSW. Your first home is not just an amazing personal milestone, its also a financial cornerstone asset that will more than likely serve you in many ways, particularly during the first half of your life. With all these options and benefits, its great to see many young people taking advant...age of incentives to purchase their first homes now. So, where are people buying? The NSW Government recently released a list of suburbs with the greatest number of first home purchases since July 1, 2017 and there were two clear trends. The first trend is in the more affordable area of the Western and South-Western suburbs of Sydney dominated the list. The second trend shows a spike with first home buying in more rural / country areas, demonstrating very smart thinking. Its obvious that the stamp duty concessions were primarily designed for first home buyers in Sydney, where property prices are at their highest and affordability is a genuine issue. Its important that first home buyers make the most of the concessions to create a foundation for personal financial stability. If you are in the market for a 1st or even 2nd home, call AVG Valuers on (02) 9955 4449 for an independent valuation to ensure you make every dollar count. www.avgvaluers.com.au

12.01.2022 At its final meeting for 2017, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) decided to keep the official cash rate unchanged at 1.5 per cent. The RBA next meets in February 2018. 06.01.2022 Today is 11 November. Ninety-nine years ago, on 11 November 1918, the guns of World War 1 finally fell silent. The peace treaties were signed. The War was known as The Great War or The War To End All Wars. And today is now called "Remembrance Day" or "Armistice Day". Its a day when we remember all those who fought in wars, those who died in wars, those who returned and endured. Its a day when we pause for a minute to remember a day that ended a war, 99 years ago; a day ...when we remember those who worked for peace; a day when we acknowledge the horror and futility of war, wars that took away so many young lives; a day when we celebrate peace. LEST WE FORGET
