25.01.2022 Throwback to one of my favourite Galley Carts ... one I made for my amazing wife! A Coastal Hamptons style drinks bar now, but this cart was previously an Ansett Airlines workhorse, serving passengers from the 1960's through to retirement. From our base model polished cart, this was finished with recycled timber panels and wooden drawer inserts.... Were you crew with Ansett, or did you fly Ansett? We'd love you to share your experiences!

24.01.2022 For those fans of Footy and Aviation, spread the word I build these. Airline Drinks Cart Bars

22.01.2022 With Christmas comes gifts and we built this for a ‘Gin Fan’ in Perth. The brief was to morph aircraft skin with an airline drinks cart. Here at AViART we pride ourselves as the leaders in Airline Galley Cart Custom Bars and Trolleys. Whether it’s a brand new cart or one with a history as long as your age, it is with dedicated hands that the a mirror shined treasure lights up a room full of your finest and favorite bottles. Located on Queensland’s Gold Coast, Galley Cart B...ars are our specialty. We have all sorts of foraged aviation treasures from aircraft fuselage windows for wall mounts or desks, propeller blade sculptures, rudders and wing desks. Even an ejector seat is in the to-do pile of picked treasures. Enquire at your leisure. In the mean time, enjoy these pics from a West Australian Gin Appreciator!! See more

21.01.2022 More Mirror Ejet Table progress.......

20.01.2022 In these uncertain times it seems fitting to reflect on our latest galley cart bar creation. This airline drinks cart was binned and looked a little like our industry right now, battered, bruised and feeling a little discarded. With perseverance, our time in Covid isolation has allowed this treasure to offer some shine for our future. From the wheels to the top handle this old girl needed straightening and patching, but mostly polishing with some original patina in parts left for story telling. From a history of being taken for granted as part of everyday aviation to living on representing a client’s career to now carry his finest collection of duty free for all to see. Our industry is worthy of preserving.

19.01.2022 Capt Rob has been hard at work finishing off his next project. Here's a sneak peak ....

19.01.2022 Cessna 402 Prop chemical and machine strip. Quick sand and into the mirror polishing. This is progress. Stay tuned for the finish.

19.01.2022 Been pickin. Canberra bomber engine cowls. 700mm at intake and 1100 rear end. Mirror or table or bar. 1950’s vintage. I just have 2. Get in quick.

19.01.2022 Here's our latest project ... almost finished! Coming from a Cessna 402 (VH-ATY), this was the rudder of an aircraft our client used to personally fly. So there's an element of sentimental value built into this piece. These beautiful twin 6 to 10 seaters were popular. First introduced in 1967 and manufactured until 1985, they had a maximum speed of 231 knots TAS. Mostly used by small regional airlines for passenger service and some cargo.... With ATY decommissioned, the rudder has now been repurposed and will live on as a centre piece to a home office. Just a few finishing touches left. We have a wide range of wings, rudders and window panels that we're planning to repurpose into functional furniture and art. Watch this space for more to come ....

17.01.2022 Embraer Jet tables progress. I love the vortex generators shined up. This metal just wants to be polished and placed in your man cave. My client eagerly awaits.

15.01.2022 Thank you to everyone mentioning QANTAS selling their old 747 Galley Carts through their frequent flier program. Please tell anyone who asks that AViART Australia is in the business of refurbishing galley carts into all sorts of recycled ideas, from bars, to tool boxes, to hair dressing trolleys, to kegerators, to coffee bars. If you acquire any aviation treasures, we specialize in their re-life.

15.01.2022 Exciting news ... I have a new logo! I hope you like it! I wanted a little 'old school' feel to reflect the golden age of aviation, but I wanted a logo that also was fresh and modern. There had been some mention that the old logo could be a little hard to read, but I think this really captures what I love to do.... And if you're interested, we also have a new website!! Visit www.aviartaustralia.com and take a look around. We've created a Boneyard page where we'll be uploading all the treasures that I have in stock. There's just too much for me to get to right now, but this page will develop in time. Happy flying, and I hope everyone has a safe and merry Christmas!

Tail Boom; Rudder, Stabilizer, Elevator, Vertical Fin VH MBK (Islander); ex-Milne Bay Airlines PNG/Seair Gold Coast... Capt Rob has some great ideas for repurposing these retired work horses: Wall Art with WW2 nose art Desks Exposed ribbing for shelving and cabinets Are you looking for something unique for your home, that reflects your love for aviation? 14.01.2022 Always great to get some photos back of how clients enter our creations into service (as rejuvenated and repurposed aviation history). This mirror polished galley cart finished it commercial service with Qantas, but now identifies as a liquor cabinet complimenting a pilots career. Enjoy Rob, and thanks for the snaps. Remember AViART Australia is the place to buy these.

13.01.2022 Containers’ full. Just in, Fokker 100 engine cowl’s. They make amazing mirrors, tables and bars. So far in the cowling collection are 4 Rolls Royce Tays (F100), a HS748, a B727 (Dallas Cowboys) and a Liberator. Ready to build. All super rare.

10.01.2022 Showcasing an Australiana themed repurposed Airline Drinks Cart. Surely you’ve been bumped in the shoulder whilst trying to sleep near that aisle seat. Bet you never thought those banged up blue vinyl’d trolleys so part of your airline journey could buff up so shiny. Airplane skin and rivets compliment this must have for your cave/bar area. It’s a head turner, talking point that is a treasure from an airline career, or enthusiast. Tool box, hair dressing/makeup trolley, or your finest booze..... please consider as a group wedding/birthday present. This Bar is being delivered to a West Australia. Make the next one yours.........

09.01.2022 Here's an original QANTAS galley cart, just about finished!

08.01.2022 Covid-19 means less flying and more AViART! Time for an inventory check, and plan out our next projects. Do you see something you would like for your home/office?

05.01.2022 The team at AViART are proud to showcase this ‘Rudder Desk’ from a Cessna 402B. The business began from the kindness of Denis Beahan from the Charters Towers Airfield in Far North Queensland. He allowed us to pick from his collection at his boneyard and we started creating treasures from retired airplanes. A client enquired regarding VH-ATY, which he flew in his early career. Most of the boneyard has been crushed and recycled now but I saved this rudder, he found me and toge...ther as artist and client, this very personal desk as the lone survivor of this aircraft has made its final landing in his home office. It was reskinned, had custom made legs that offer the top glass support through the actual rudder from Andrew at MiniFab, finishings from Paul’s team at Rapid Fab, and the painstakingly finished polishing was done here by me at AViART. My name is Robbie Pearson and this is my business. I fly for a career, and create and preserve through this love business because of the reasons in this table.......to bring personally historic aviation pieces to your home or office so they can forever live on. I have plenty of Av-Treasures ready to be custom made to your needs while preserving their significance. Enquiries are always welcomed. See more

03.01.2022 Prepping my latest project - a desk that is heading to an FBO (Fixed Based Operator) down in Albury NSW. This desk is going to look amazing when finished, but how do you get the paint off? Elbow grease and the right tools! Keep an eye out for this beauty when finished!

03.01.2022 Cessna 402 Propeller Blade. Picked from the Charters Towers Boneyard, this retired, stone damaged workhorse now shines as a career ‘from where I came’ collection. We’ve got plenty more!!

02.01.2022 So I got a call about some P3-Orion propellers ... and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to grab an iconic piece of Australian military history! Orion aircraft have been in military service since 1968. The current variant (AP-3C) has been in service since 2002, but will be phased out into 2023. On closer inspection, however, these props are not the right shape and they may have been cut down The brand (Hartzell) and the stamp (HC-B4) suggest these could come from differen...t commercial aircraft. Such as: Beech (1900C, 300, B300) Casa (C-212) De Havilland Canada (DHC-3) Rockwell (OV-10) We think it's the OV-10 that looks closer to the mark. What do you think? Anyone able to offer any insight? We'll soon get to work descaling the weathered exterior and polishing these up. Our plan is to bring the surface to a mirrored polish finish and mount on a nice firm wooden base. If you think these would be ideal as a focal piece in your home or office, feel free to send me a message or call.

01.01.2022 Airline Galley Carts have come a long way since the 1960's! First used with the then 'new' widebody airliners of the time, Food Service became a defining difference between carriers with larger numbers of people taking flights. Needing to be rugged and robust to take continual bumping as they're moved through the aisles, "Airline Service Trolleys" also need to blend into their environment and represent the airline they served!... But we think the Trolley Cart can be much more than that! The "Drinks Cart" or "Bar Cart" is making a come back as a centre piece of art in the home. Displaying your finest liquors, wines and crystals. Each of our carts is custom made for the owner, representing their style and decor. What is your wish list for your cart?
