23.01.2022 It takes a village to raise a child - many thanks to the team at Abrosia whove been there to support pre and post birth. Plenty of wholesome foods, herbal baths/oils/teas, rest and gentle massage goes a long way to support post birth recovery

20.01.2022 Next Wednesdays Webinar is having a good unbiased look at dietary and supplemental fatty acids. We need to ensure we are getting the most out of these essential clinical tools. There will be plenty of myth busting and clear evidence-based direction for clinical applications. Belinda Gray is a nutritionist, naturopath and PhD candidate studying essential fatty acids. She will also cover appropriate dosage, quality issues and the imfamous discrepancies between omega-6 vs omega...-3 fatty acids, as well as research updates on health implications for the intake of saturated fatty acids. I would love to have you on the program. Hope you can make it. Register using the link below: http://www.healthmasterslive.com//making-sense-of-fatty-a/

17.01.2022 Being a new mum can be tough and the social isolation can make things even more challenging. As a nutritionist and a mum of 2 (my youngest is only a few weeks old), I’d love to offer a dial-in nutrition catch up as a chance for mums to talk about some of the challenges they are facing with bubs that are breastfed and also those being introduced to solids, to ask questions and seek out fact vs fiction. Whether it’s a fussy baby, one that doesn’t sleep well at night or even con...cerns about allergies or eczema, a little bit of knowledge can go a long way. If you’re interested please PM me and I’ll forward the dial-in link over the next few days. Please feel free to share in other groups or directly to those you think may benefit x

15.01.2022 Refined grains have become such a staple in modern diets and sometimes we just need a little inspiration for how to bring back the wholesome nutritional foods Homemade Nut-free paleo bread from Pete Evans ‘Lunchbox’ recipe book - yumm!

10.01.2022 Welcome to the New Year! Its always exciting to have a new beginning, a chance to clear out the old, set new goals or refresh old ones. With Christmas and New Years celebrations drawing to a close its time to stop and recalibrate, to set the intention for what we want to achieve for the year and the direction of where we want to go. They say the body is the temple of the soul so along with a little spring cleaning at home, its the perfect place to start. When our digestiv...e system is working well and were providing plenty of clean, nutritious foods to fuel our bodies, then we think better, feel better and ultimately perform better. If youre looking for some hot practical tips to help you get your health on track to start 2020, here are some of my favourites: Fresh is best! Focus your diet as much as possible on fresh local produce. Go organic if you can or wash it in apple cider vinegar to remove as much of the pesticides as possible. If you want a simple clean out after a little overindulging over the holidays then try starting the day with juice from half a lemon in water before breakfast. Try going paleo for a few weeks and cut out the dairy and refined sugars its amazing how much difference it makes to take the load off your digestive track. Food doesnt have to be complicated to be healthy. Taking things back to basics is often so much better but if you want to get creative then Pete Evans has some awesome recipe ideas online to get you started. Homemade stock if youve been a little run down or just feel like you need to start rebuilding nothing beats adding in a cup of homemade stock each day. My favourite is either added to cooking (ie pumpkin soup), or even as an evening drink on its own or with miso for extra flavour. The slow cooker is your best friend make large batches and freeze it. Save time and always cook double even the most organised of us know what it feels like to be time poor. We want to eat well and life can sometimes get in the way of that so when youre making dinner or even snacks, choose meals where the recipes can easily be doubled and frozen. Plan ahead if you know its going to be a busy day/week then you can take dinner out in the morning to defrost then just add fresh veges and serve that evening. If you want a little added guidance or have specific challenges, you want to tackle then nows the perfect time to start.
