19.01.2022 Avisure starts a Reconciliation Action Plan! At the beginning of 2020, Avisure in collaboration with sister company Ecosure started a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with Reconciliation Australia. You might ask what is a RAP?... Its a program that provides a framework for organisations to support the national reconciliation movement. There are four stages to the RAP Reflect, Innovate, Stretch, Elevate. A RAP is a strategic document that supports our business plan and includes practical actions to drive our contribution to reconciliation both internally and in the communities, we operate in. It prepares our organisation for reconciliation initiatives, allowing us to scope and develop relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders. Through this process we decide on the specific actions we will commit to that are meaningful, mutually beneficial and sustainable. Ultimately, our RAP helps Avisure develop respectful relationships and create meaningful opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is the demonstration of our commitment to recognise and support diversity in cultures and values and foster collegiality, collaboration and reconciliation between the First Peoples of Australia and the wider Australian community.
