It is advised and encouraged that all men over 50 or over 40 if they have a family history -talk with their GP about their prostate health. There are many highly effective treatment and management options available to you. . Recently, our resident EP Darcy completed an ExMed prostate cancer professional development course. 10.01.2022 When Winchelsea lifeguard Trevor Mildenhall collapsed by the pool at a LSV training day two weeks ago at Ascot Vale Leisure Centre he couldn’t have been in bett...er hands. Trevor knows all too well just how different his heart-attack story could have turned out, and is incredibly grateful for the efforts of the eight responders. I can remember finishing a swim that was a part of the lifeguard update course that I was doing. The last thing I remember was getting out of the water after that I remember waking up in the hospital bed. They’ve done an excellent job and are obviously very well trained. He is already hoping to make a return to lifeguarding duties, keeping swimmers at his local pool safe. For their actions in keeping Trevor alive, his rescuers have been honoured with a Pride of Australia awards nomination. LSV would like to commend and thank each of the responders Robin Sadler, Jayk Burgess, Luke Vesnaver, Harrison Tanner, Andrew Antic, Erith Nash, Bradley Norton and Stewart Nicoll for their teamwork and efforts on saving Trevor's life.
