Unfortunately it has taken us a lot longer than expected to get our packaging sorted (thanks covid)!! So the new ETA of our sunscreen is in early November 2020 (a couple of months away). Thank you for being so patient with us. We know a lot of you have been waiting for our new release in September and we are so sorry we couldn’t bring it to you earlier! But - this new sunscreen will be worth the wait. We will make it available for pre-order 2 weeks in advance, prior to our release date so that you can get your order in early (watch this space)! Now for some more information about the product: We have reduced our product offering down to one product - our SPF 50 Natural Sunscreen - as it was by far our most popular product, and being a small business that wants to grow organically, it was the only feasible option for us at this point in time. Our new SPF 50 natural sunscreen formula is suitable for the face and neck and shoulders - we wanted to stay 100% natural but reduce the natural oils slightly, so that it is suitable for all skin types and for wearing on the face and under make-up daily. Our new sunscreen can be used for the body, but we wanted to be transparent that it is not as good spreadability as our last formula (as it needed to be slightly more matte as a facial sunscreen). As such, we will be releasing a sunscreen that is more suitable for the body, further down the track. Now - this new facial sunscreen of ours contains the most BEAUTIFUL ingredients for the skin. These include Calendula oil and Kakadu plum (both Native Australian ingredients) as well as Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E. It feels so luxurious and moisturising on the skin and it truly is the perfect solution for those with sensitive, problematic skin types including little babies. 06.01.2022 I was out kayaking at Avalon Surf Beach in Mandurah the other day and I thought to myself - What a great time to test out our new Body Sunscreen!? It was during the heat of the day, about 3 pm and I applied it all over my face & body. I have quite dry skin so my face actually loved the extra oils that exist in this formula. The spreadability was heavenly, it went on completely clear and provided the absolute best in sun protection! ... Zero chance of getting burnt with this stuff on! 02.01.2022 I am so much more sensitive to the sun now that I’m 30! I get sunburnt so easily and I am so susceptible to developing pigmentation. Are you experiencing this as well? ... I looked into it and there are actually many reasons for this. Both sunburns and suntans damage our skin’s DNA, breaking down the skin’s tissues so that it ages us before our time, and produces genetic defects that can lead to skin cancer. Suffering just five sunburns over your lifetime more than doubles your chances of developing melanoma, and each successive tan or sunburn raises the risks further. Making matters worse, as the damage mounts, our ability to stave it off keeps diminishing. As we age, our skin undergoes changes that weaken our defences against skin disease: reduced immune systems, poorer healing capacity, thinner skin, and damage from bodily assaults from smoking to pollution. These changes all contribute to accelerated skin aging and increase our risk for skin cancer. We once thought that most sun damage occurred before age 18, and that this early damage triggered most of the genetic changes that later led to skin precancers and cancers. That left some older people thinking, The damage is done, and there’s nothing I can do about it. However, subsequent research showed that we continue to have substantial UV exposure as long as we live; the majority of exposure occurs after age 40. This later exposure is often what kicks on skin cancers, so sun protection remains vital throughout our lives.
