13.01.2022 Avon Recovery Centre Inc is a not-for-profit organization developed in response to the growing mental distress in Western Australia suffered by our State Emergency Services, business executives, police, nurses and teachers, members of the Defence forces, FIFO workers, their partners and families. At this current stage, our recovery centre (named Grevillea Park) in the hills East of Perth, is aiming to be operating by mid next year. This will be a complete residential recove...ry centre with evidence based therapies such as equine therapy, art and music therapy, health & nutrition, yoga & meditation and horticultural therapies as well as extensive after care services to assist participants to get well and stay well. We are now seeking a Volunteer Assistant Project Coordinator to help us for 1 - 2 days a week. It is essential that you have at least 2 years experience in Australia. 07.01.2022 ABOUT US Avon Recovery Centre Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation based in Midland which is currently planning and coordinating a new ground-breaking accommodation-based mental health recovery centre, set amongst beautiful bushland in Sawyer's Valley, known as 'Grevillea Park'. Our recovery centre seeks to assist with mental distress experienced by West Australian's suffering from grief, depression, and/or anxiety-related issues. As an accommodation-based centre, our partic...ipants will also benefit from extensive aftercare services to provide long-term support. Our centre will offer a *combination* of traditional therapies and evidence-based complementary therapies (including equine, art, music, nutritional & horticultural therapy). ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently seeking to engage with an individual experienced in marketing who will be reporting directly to the Project Coordinator. Your duties will include, but not be limited to: - producing presentations to entities such as rotary clubs and the petroleum and mining industries. - assisting the Project Coordinator with marketing strategies and related tasks This is a flexible role with remote working options available for the right candidate. ABOUT YOU - A willingness to volunteer between 1-2 days per week - Previous experience in a fast-paced environment (prior NFP sector work will be viewed favourably). - The ability to work within time restraints and meet deadlines - A willingness to learn new skills - Positive attitude - Attention to detail - General interest in the job role - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Able to work autonomously and unsupervised* This opportunity would typically suit someone with experience in the advertising industry, a retiree willing to offer their expertise, or someone who would just like to give back to the community through a charitable organisation.
