06.01.2022 Scammers Looking to Con Money Out of Unsuspecting People. This has been happening for quite a long time now, and people are still not getting the message. Your typical scam begins with a phone call where the person on the other end tells you, (usually in an Indian, Asian or Pakistani accent) that your computer is infected and spreading viruses all over the Internet. This is utter rubbish. If anyone could tell where viruses were coming from, why are all the virus writers not i...n jail right now? Perhaps all of the authorities in the first world don't know what your friendly phone caller is about to tell you, yeah.....right. The message out of this is that if someone calls you and tells you that your computer is infected or doing anything that has called attention to it, feel free to give them an earful and hang up. It is a con, a scam and an attempt to extort money out of you. See more
