22.01.2022 "Dont give these away mum biscuits" said my little girl after baking them for our morning tea during Learn@Home today. Its my go to recipe and comes from the Country Show Cookbook given to me by a very dear friend as a wedding present sooooo many years ago, and I use it regularly. Its quick and easy and you can add anything you like to the biscuit mix. Nuts, dried fruit, dont forget the choc chips........ Sometimes I even use the dough mixture to add to an ice cream mix.... Naughty!!!! Here is the recipe so you can enjoy it as well. 125g softened butter. Dont melt it like me. 1/2 cup castor sugar. I used normal sugar. 1/2 cup brown sugar 1tsp vanilla essence 1 egg 2 cups self raising flour 1 cup of nuts, dried fruit or choc chips Beat the butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg, and slowly incorporate the flour. I didnt sift mine and your ingredients of choice. Bake in a moderate hot oven 180 degrees until lightly browned. They dont last long. Enjoy! They very kindly agreed to be a free delivery pick up point for our yummy meals in Briag. Looks like the shop has the essentials for Arf to make his own version of lasagne, just give him 6 months to grow the pumpkin! Thanks Jon and Sandra and good luck with the new business. PS.
