25.01.2022 ~Anniversary~ This week I celebrated 10 years of being registered as a marriage celebrant. I'm not sure where that 10 years went, except when I think of the 160 weddings and many other commitment and naming ceremonies I have been apart of I realise a lot has happened in that time. I've had two babies and experienced the greatest of joys and losses. The happiness that comes with being a celebrant has kept my faith in love. I can't wait to see what the next 10 years brings.... 24.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated the marriage of Mr and Mrs Sullivan at Gabbinbar Homestead. A highlight moment for me was when Deanna came down the aisle and David gave her the cutest wave of excitement. He’d been so nervous and I could see their instant connection - the reason they’ve chosen each other. It’s these magical moments that fill my heart with joy. #lovemyjob #Toowoombacelebrant

23.01.2022 Being a Celebrant is such a privilege (and a lot of fun). We get to share moments in time that are the start of a couple’s marriage journey. It doesn’t matter how many weddings I perform I still get goosebumps and feel my heart will burst. Yesterday my cousin’s dream came true - marrying the love of her life. It took all my strength to hold back the tears as words can’t express how proud I am of her and how elated I am that she’s found her peace, place and happiness. Love you Tahlia Ryland

22.01.2022 ~Theme Weddings~ I’ve never been asked to dress up for a themed wedding but I’m always up for something fun. I’ve got my Gatsby outfit ready if anyone is keen for a roaring 20s party. I had the pleasure to at the Toowoomba's Largest Girls' Night In last night with so many amazing stunning women.

21.01.2022 ~Our local heros~ Over the last week we have had a very anxious time with the Pechey fire burning out of control. The thick smoke and ash has been a reminder of how incredibly dry it is and the extreme fire danger everywhere. I was particularly worried for one of my favourite wedding locations The Woods Ravensbourne under significant threat. Thank you to all of the incredible people who have fought these fires and the volunteers who have supported them in so many ways. I’m looking forward to a good nights sleep without smoke and the alarm to check the wind direction.

16.01.2022 ~"The truth is I'm lost without you" - Bryan Weimier~ A few weeks ago one of my grooms lost the love of his life way too early. I've been thinking about how in that amazing moment when a couple make their promises of "until we both shall live" that really we don't know how long that will be. 12.01.2022 ~Back Yard Weddings~ When I met with J&J a few months ago and they described where they were having their ceremony I thought it would be sweet. I had no idea how sweet. I had some decent competition with the local birdlife chatting away but it was such a beautiful setting. Congratulations Julia and Jason!!!

04.01.2022 ~Morning Wedding~ It’s 2.20pm and I’d normally be on my way to an afternoon wedding. Yet this morning I was set up and ready to greet guests by 10.30am at the beautiful Preston Village Chapel and Manor. I’ve known one of the lovely brides for many years now and I was so honoured to be asked to officiate her marriage. Woot woot!!! They took my breath away this morning - absolute true love walked down the aisle.... Congratulations C & C - May you know the happiness you felt today....everyday....forever. Especially on the golf course and on those hard to deal with other people days

03.01.2022 Well 2020 you certainly haven’t been the year we’d hoped for. Today I got to celebrate H & B’s ceremony at the always gorgeous Gabbinbar Homestead. So that’s a wrap for me....no more weddings booked waiting to see if our Canada move comes to fruition. I’m open to elopements but I won’t be taking bookings for any further than 6 weeks ahead.
