21.01.2022 PURPOSE AvServes purpose and goal is to promote interest in aviation careers and to raise awareness of the need for mission aviators who may be called to serve as pilots or engineers in this ministry. AvServe provides Programs and activities that effectively educate students and other stakeholders about the need to reach out to vulnerable, disadvantaged and at risk communities in remote areas. Raising awareness of the critical need for pilots and engineers to serve in remote... areas is AvServes core function. AvServe specifically advocates for careers in aviation and for pilots and engineers to consider serving in remote areas with mission aviation organisations. Referral of people with this interest to mission organisations is a key objective. AvServe supports other mission aviation organisation, NFPs, Charities, Corporate and key individuals who provide supplies or support services to remote areas. 21.01.2022 Excitement is building for the campers who have confirmed on the ESA website for the AvServe Aviation Camp at Bendigo in October. This will be a hands on adventure for each camper flying both the Red Bird Flight Simulator and also a real airplane from the Bendigo Flying Club. Still some places available to those 15 to 21 year olds who are interested in a career in Mission Aviation.

08.01.2022 AvServe aviation camp was well attended by 26 enthusiastic campers. Flying cross country navigational exercises in the simulator, then off to the Bendigo Flying Club where each camper had controls of a real airplane under the watchful eye of CFI Linda. Back at the camp, Instructor Stephen raised a sweat with his para glider.A good time was enjoyed by all. Book in early for aviation camp 2020!

04.01.2022 The Flight Simulator is being very well received, as you can see in this quote from the Ballarat Courier: Students from Ballarat Christian College ended the term on a real high last week, with the opportunity to spend some time in a flight simulator, courtesy of AvServe. Year 8 Drone-elective students and senior students completing a certificate III in Aviation were visited by retired pilot and AvServe Aviation Training Consultant Max Chapman, before heading into the flight s...imulator for 15 minute sessions to test their flying skills. Under the watchful eye of Mr Chapman, students were taken to a height of 1400ft, before taking control of the landing (most were successful, although there were a couple of close calls thanks to a matter of two-left-feet as pressure hit). Head of Middle School at Ballarat Christian College, Mr Glen Strange, said it was a very positive experience for the students. [The students] really enjoyed it, said Mr Strange. Some thought it would be really hard, but realised they could do it, and took control. See more
