There are two types:... Matwork (that's what we do) and; Reformer (the Pilates in the bed looking machines) Both focusing on targeting the core, pelvic floor and glutes (booty muscles) to reduce knee, hip and back injuries. Matwork Pilates is performed on mats with body weight movements designed for all people from beginner to advance. It is a great way to introduce strength into exercise routines and even great for those who like a challenge to 'push' themselves through a bit of a 'burn' .
