24.01.2022 *Avyon delivers ECMIP for Romeo* Mr Lindsay Freeman and Ms Soz Knox have completed a rewarding task through Nova for the delivery of an Error Capture Methods Implementation Plan (ECMIP) for the MH-60R helicopter and Navy Aviation Systems Program Office (NASPO). This off-site deliverables-based task involved a thorough review of existing Independent Maintenance Inspections (IMIs), US Navy’s maintenance regime and the existing MH-60R Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), as well as the Flight Safety Critical Aircraft Parts List. The review enabled the identification of candidate Critical Maintenance Tasks in accordance with the new guidance provided in the new Airworthiness Regulations.



24.01.2022 *Avyon develops JeWSP Certification Plan and Systems Engineering Plan* Working as subcontractors through CWS and SME Gateway to the Joint EW Sub-Program (JEWsP), Mr Lindsay Freemen and Ms Soz Knox developed a Program Certification Plan and Systems Engineering Plan for delivery in mid-2018. The task was predominantly an off-site deliverables-based task, but Lindsay and Soz have thoroughly enjoyed working with JEWsP in support of JP9320, JP9321, JP9322 and JP9323-related capabilities.

22.01.2022 By supporting equity scholarships at UNSW, Avyon Pty Ltd is helping the university achieve its goal of increasing the percentage of undergraduate students from low socioeconomic backgrounds from 9.5% to 13%, and Indigenous students from 0.8% to 3% by 2025.

20.01.2022 *Soz joins TFSPO at RAAF Base Williamtown* Ms Soz Knox has remained in the ‘training’ sphere and is now working with KBRWyle at Tactical Fighter Systems Program Office. The TFSPO team is working towards Government consideration of AIR6002 Lead-In Fighter Replacement Phase 1 at Gate 0 in 2020, ensuring that any HAWK Planned Withdrawal Date (PWD) implications are successfully managed. Soz’s expertise in Program Management and CASG acquisition is coming in very handy in this role, which will keep her busy with TFSPO and AFHQ until at least December 2019.

18.01.2022 https://www.australiandefence.com.au//special-forces-helic Last week Avyon personnel joined the LAND2097 Phase 4 team at NA3PO in Canberra, offering expertise in Avionics and T&E Engineering to support the acquisition of Army’s new Special Forces Helicopter and associated Systems. Not only is this Avyon’s first time supporting Army, it also marks the beginning of our relationship with MSP Team Downer.



18.01.2022 The A-Team keeps getting bigger and better! This month Avyon welcomes Tyler Tindall on board as Consultant. Trained in the Royal Australian Navy and highly experienced in the submarine domain, Tyler brings comprehensive electronic system knowledge coupled with strong technical and project management proficiency. As well as supporting the acquisition phase of SEA1354-1 Submarine Rescue Service in a project management capacity, Tyler will soon be joining fellow Avyon Consultant Lindsay Freeman on SEA555-7, ramping up Avyon representation on this exciting maritime project.

13.01.2022 Dawesy joins the A-Team After 26 years of ADF service, the highly regarded Royal Australian Navy Commander Andrew Dawes, in an exciting professional pivot to civilian employment, has joined Avyon as Consultant and Executive Director. Andrew brings executive level skills in systems engineering, project management, T&E and V&V. His experience spans deployed and embarked operations, technical, sustainment, procurement, flight test and a wide range of leadership positions in the aviation environment. What a win for Avyon, and for the broader Australian defence industry. Welcome aboard Dawesy!

07.01.2022 *JSF TASK * After two busy years in the Joint Strike Fighter Project Office as Certification, Acceptance and Service Release Manager for the aircraft’s Training System, Ms Soz Knox was delighted to see the RAAF take acceptance of all Training Devices and Flight Simulator for the aircraft in December 2018. This milestone brings Soz’s subcontract through Jacobs to a successful completion.

07.01.2022 Avyon to independently assess safety aboard Navy’s newest warship As the new Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer enters the Transition Support Period, Avyon’s Ms Soz Knox has joined KBR and the Defence Assurance Strategy team to identify the key elements that require the greatest consideration in the Safety Management System. Here's to safety first!

07.01.2022 *Avyon at the Australian International Airshow AVALON 2019* Avyon headed to AVALON 2019 for an industry briefing on the Navy’s upcoming Maritime Tactical Unmanned Aerial System (Project SEA 129). The Airshow was an excellent opportunity to meet with colleagues and business partners, and at the same time enjoy incredible aviation spectacles at close range. Check out the vintage US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress which visited for the occasion.

06.01.2022 Avyon welcomes Scott Lockey to the A-team This month, the highly experienced and respected Mr Scott Lockey joins Avyon as Senior Consultant. Scott broadens and sharpens Avyon’s offer, particularly in the complex program management and executive leadership space. He's also a great friend. At both a professional and personal level we are stoked to have him on board.

01.01.2022 Avyon wins JEMSS bid Last week Avyon headed to Adelaide for kick-off meetings with the Joint Survivability and Tactical Validation Unit at RAAF Edinburgh to start work on developing suitable specifications for the Electro-Optic Future Advanced Threat Simulator and the Human In the Loop facility at DSTG Edinburgh. Good times! Avyon won this deliverables-based task through competitive tender as a DSS Panel member through SME Gateway.
