08.01.2022 IMPORTANT!! Hi everyone, we are writing today to update you regarding the AWAKE 2021 Festival given the COVID-19 situation around the world. ... Firstly, we’d like to thank you all for your support through AWAKE 2020, which was a resounding success considering how lucky we were to have avoided the COVID-19 repercussions. This global pandemic has changed the way we are currently able to operate, and has made planning for next year’s festival just a bit challenging to say the least. WHAT'S HAPPENING Moving forward, our intentions are to bring you the same experience we promised for AWAKE 2021, but given the current the circumstances and uncertainties, some changes may be required for us to be able to proceed further with the AWAKE 2021 Festival. Given the scale of preparation that the annual AWAKE Festival requires, we generally start planning for each annual event a year in advance, hence bringing this statement to you ahead of time. We remain dedicated in spreading the awareness and educating people of the joy that Kizomba brings whilst assisting in building the local Kizomba community here in Perth. Our focus has always and will always be providing a safe, fun and educational platform to all our patrons. Michael & Dee WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? We will continue to update you as new information comes to light. We will be completely transparent with what ideas are on the table in how we plan to proceed with the festival in 2021.
