20.01.2022 Did you know that Prince Charles is a prominent advocate of acupuncture and integrated health? In an article titled 'Science and homeopathy must work in harmo...ny', the Prince of Wales wrote that 'More and more people are turning to homoeopathy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, osteopathy and a wide range of other treatments - mainly paid for out of their own pockets. I believe that this trend reflects a growing concern with the use of more and more powerful drugs and a potentially rather impersonal approach to healthcare. There is a feeling not only among patients, but also among GPs, nurses and other mainstream health practitioners, that there needs to be greater integration and inter-professional collaboration in patient care and that we can each, as individuals, play a greater role in contributing towards our own health and well-being. Health should be much more than the mere absence of disease or infirmity; and we should strive to ensure that everybody can fulfil the full potential and expression of their lives.' He currently supports the College of Medicine, which focuses on evidence-based complementary medicine that helps people to improve health and well-being before sickness strikes.

09.01.2022 One of my favourite current action movie stars. Good to see Donnie Yen using acupuncture, moxabustion and electro-acupuncture for recovery.

04.01.2022 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) dates back thousands of years and is a system of primary health care that includes acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and r...emedial massage (anmo tui Na). In Australia, the most popular forms of TCM health care are acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The primary feature of modern TCM is the premise that good health relies on the restoration and maintenance of harmony, balance and order to the individual. TCM takes a holistic approach to understanding normal function and disease processes and focuses as much on the prevention of illness as it does on the treatment. For your nearest AACMA Chinese Medicine Practitioner, call our National Practitioner Referral Service on 1300 725 334 or visit our website www.acupuncture.org.au for qualified practitioners around Australia! Ensure your practitioner (if in Australia) is qualified with a CMBA number, which means they are trained adequately, have a minimum of 900 clinical hours of acupuncture or more as part of their health science degree & are accurate in their treatment. AACMA members must have a CMBA number to be registered. #acupuncture #chinesemedicine #Acupunctureworks #acupunctureinthemedia
