22.01.2022 NATIONAL PARKS UPDATE Where a park is open to the public you can drive through, or stop for a picnic. Be aware there is NO CAMPING in any park until at least JULY 1st, as they are still conducting risk assessments.... Some parks are completely closed for all activity, check the National Parks website below.

17.01.2022 Happy New Year! The festive season is drawing to an end. Its time to think about taking down the decorations, feeding any leftovers to the dog and to start playing with those 4WD Christmas presents. Last year has been a bit of a one to forget, in Iceland they say árslok 2020, which led me to looking at all the different ways to say happy new year. Shana Tova, Happy Hogmanay, Xin nian yu kuai, Boldog uj evet, с Новым Годом, feliz Año Nuevo............ Apparently there are over... 450 different languages worldwide with 300 or so making it to Australia. Some how my favourite this particular year is still the Icelandic! In the last magazine we were hopeful that club meetings with limited numbers would recommence January 13th, the chances of this happening is near zero. Currently the Forestville RSL is closed and their first priority will be reopening to general customers. The northern beach's restrictions are in force until at least the 9th of January. The next club meeting date is February10th, hopefully!. Our new trip coordinator has been kept busy with an array of trips. If we all muck in the AWDC can have yet another fabulous year of 4 wheel driving, memorable for all the right reasons! The magazine editor is also always looking for a good story, not just trip reports but anything 4WD related. Frohes Neues Jahr!
