23.01.2022 So while the world (or at least definitely Australia and USA) is pretty shut down over this COVID bizzo, travel has been put on standstill. I have had to confront the fact that a lot of my identity and enjoyment in life is centred on travel. Now that I don't know when that will be possible again I have lost a lot of enjoyment that I used to gain from planning trips or just reading about different places. I am slowly gaining that back, but I still don't know when I will be abl...e to act on any of it or what will be different in the places I want to see. I have realized that I need to develop more passions at home and live my life to the fullest in between trips as well. So while I am going to continue finishing and publisihing my blog posts on different locations around the world, I am also expanding the topics I will cover. The blog and this page will now additionally focus on my own self development and experiences, thoughts, attempts at learning new skills etc, in addition to travel both internationally and domestically. I am going to attempt to "be the lead character in my own life" and bring you all along with me as I try new things and get off the couch.

22.01.2022 A new underwater museum has opened near Townsville, and it looks incredible! If only I could dive... And was allowed into Queensland...... But one day, maybe! Who else is putting this on their bucket list?

16.01.2022 Alright everyone! True to my word I am back on the blog and this time I'm sharing it with everyone. No more perfectionisim, I will from now on be prescribing to the theory that "done is better than perfect". So in that spirit I have a new post up about my experience in my first month of going vegan. If you missed it, I challanged myself to do it for a full month to see how it made me feel- check out the post to see what the outcome was!

14.01.2022 With the current global events surrounding COVID-19 and the crash of the travel industry I was finding myself quite demotivated, and unwilling to even think about travel, let alone plan for my future travel goals. However, this last week I have decided to dust myself off and break that funk. Despite still not knowing when the border will be open, or employment stable enough to take off again, I have started to dream anyway! Learning about travel destinations and dreaming abou...t how, where and when I will get to them is one of my greatest pleasures in life. So I started watching some VLOGS about my most desired destinations and it has lit the spark once again. I cannot wait to get out an explore again and I have begun to work on my blog once more so that I can share my knowledge and ideas with others because we just have to keep moving forward. Who else is back to dreaming about travel? Did you even stop? Also does anyone have any particular travel VLOGS they recommend?

14.01.2022 So today I took the bike out for a spin down to a spot where I could gaze at the QLD border longingly. I took my yoga mat with me and strapped it in all cozy but the wind still sent it flying off without me noticing and I had to hike my bike back up the hill to look for it. When i found it some people were looking at it very confused, so I had to sheepishly say "It's mine, it flew off", pick it up and strap it back in. After that I was looking over my shoulder so much you would have thought I was running from someone. I eventually made it to my spot and lay on my mat with my book and had a relaxing time swatting ants off me before they could crawl up my pant legs looking for their missing friends. All in all, it was a pretty good outing.
