These awards recognise sporting stars, volunteers and coaches for their achievements in 2017. It was a fantastic night to celebrate sports in our State that plays such an important role as a social asset. Congratulations to soccer player Samantha Kerr for winning the 2017 award as Sport Star of the year. 04.01.2022 Premier Mark McGowan officially opened the extension to the HBF Arena club rooms of the Joondalup Sports Club on Saturday. Phil, in his capacity as Board Member of the Joondalup Sports Club, was able to thank the Premier and the two Members of Parliament (Emily Hamilton MLA and Mark Folkard MLA) who were behind the funding for the extension, on behalf of the over 2,000 sporting participants of the involved clubs, Joondalup Netball Association, Joondalup Brothers RUFC, Joondalup Little Athletics Centre, Joondalup Lakers Hockey Club and Team XTR.
