13.01.2022 It has been an emotional and toiling week for everyone involved with the whale rescue on Tassie's West Coast. The three pilot whales pictured here are currently... en-route to freedom courtesy of our Strahan based crew, on board our vessel Spartan - you may note the mode of transport includes a mattress! Yep, one of our clever crew, Sam Gerrity, thought it might be less stressful on the rescued whales if they had a more supportive, restful surface to lie on during the relocation. We think we would all sleep on the floor tonight if it meant saving one of these beautiful mammals.

05.01.2022 Working on the water every day is in our DNA. So when it comes to a rescue whether it’s a broken down boat, a person in trouble or hundreds of stranded whales... - our people will often be the first to respond. For over three days now, our crew on the water at Macquarie Harbour - Zack, Schwochy, Rhys and Tommy - have helped save more than 30 whales by towing them from the shallows into deeper water and releasing them. They are using methods Zack learned from his support to previous whale rescues at Macquarie Harbour. We think that watching these whales swim away is the best sight! Here’s our crew releasing a whale in deeper waters earlier today. We are continuing to support this ongoing operation alongside the amazing rescue teams and our neighbours from Petuna and Huon. Thank you to the team for making a difference.

03.01.2022 A video captured by a Petuna team member in the rescue efforts currently underway on Tasmania's west coast, where more than 450 pilot whales are stranded. Every whale saved is a huge win, and we are happy to be able to offer any assistance we can.
