19.01.2022 So our Design Director, Ben Hames was the last man standing holding down the fort at Axiom, but as of today hes joined the rest of the Axiom team in working remotely. Hes commandeered the dining table at present as the study was already claimed Whilst the physical place where we craft the ideas and solutions that help our clients build their own successful businesses may have fallen (temporarily) silent today, we still remain open for business as (un)usual. Being an early... adopter of cloud technology, several of our team already worked remotely, and our project management, accounting and file management software was already cloud based. Well leverage this experience to ensure we can continue to provide you with the level of service youve come to expect and require during this time. We exist to help our clients to communicate compellingly and meaningfully with their customers. It is clear that this new isolation economy will force us to communicate digitally more than ever before. Businesses will have to think differently and adapt quickly, not only how they do business, but how they communicate, market and build relationships. We are all going to have our own challenges, but Axiom are here if you need us to help you with yours. 16.01.2022 Wed like to congratulate our client Discovery Rottnest Island on the opening today of the first eco-resort and the first new accommodation on Rottnest Island in over 30 years. Great way to start with a sold-out long weekend too! Axiom are proud to have developed an integrated signage strategy for wayfinding and interpretive signage for what is sure to become a standout favourite on the island we all love! Guests will experience world-class glamping, nestled behind the dune...s of the iconic Pinky Beach. 83 fully furnished eco-tents, a resort pool and pool bar at Pinkys Beach Club. We are proud to have played a small part and developed signage that responds to the environment, the site materiality and palette our work will tell guests where-to-go for many years to come! ;-) Here are a couple of quick snaps and initial sketches showing concept to reality. 11.01.2022 Less hustle. More bustle. Clearly Im getting old, there is a buzzword that many of todays youth use to describe their daily modus-operandi. This word grated with me the first time I heard it and has continued to as its use increased that word is hustling. For those not familiar, Discovery Rottnest Island is the first new holiday accommodation built in more than 30 years at one of Western Australia’s most iconic and popular tourism destinations. Axiom were engaged to design and implement a wayfinding signage system to help guests and holiday-makers navigate and enjoy this unique resort and its facilities.... The solution had to be sensitive to the surroundings, complement the architecture and have minimal impact on the environmental and historical fabric of the site. It was a great project to be involved in. 06.01.2022 We got hooked on a little studio project that wed not normally do as a design firm that specialises in corporate rebrands - a Fish & Chip shop! Not just any old Fish & Chip shop, but the iconic Johnnys Quality Fish Bar in Como that has been serving since 1958 that also happens to be one of our Design Directors local take away joints! Such a fun project to do, the whole studio got involved - client was a lot of fun, we even lured an architect family member to do the inte...riors (which is starting next) along with new website, menus etc. After 59 years, Johnnys finally looks as good as it tastes!
