14.01.2022 WELDER QUALIFICATION & TRAINING Australian & International Standards require some form of qualification for welders and welding operators, or sometimes referred to as coded welding, to ensure they are suitably competent and capable in each process and material types to reproduce the companies weld procedures to the relevant codes. The welder is usually required to complete a test sample (or section of a production weld) under the supervision of a qualified welding inspector/s...upervisor and examined by code determined non-destructive and destructive testing to meet the acceptance criteria. When hiring new staff, you need to be sure they can do the job required, we can assess their skills in general fabrication and welding or against a company developed test to ensure they are capable before employment.
