19.01.2022 AXIS Employment has enjoyed a great relationship with The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion for many years and the opportunity they have provided to our participants has been very rewarding and beneficial to their long term career goals. We have provided staff for various roles from basic gardening to tour guides and caf workers. They provide a very encouraging and supportive environment for our participants to grow in the work place and to also gain valuable skills that t...hey can take into future roles or into continued work. Bridget and her team are amazing in the way the welcome the new staff and help train them in their chosen roles. The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion has been working in partnership with AXIS Employment for over 3 years and the experience has been very positive. AXIS Employment provides a variety of great supports to us as well as the clients they work with. If we need anything they are only ever a phone call away. I find that not only do we get quality staff but we also have the opportunity to provide a place where the employees can learn new skills in a supportive environment. 17.01.2022 St Arnaud Neighbourhood House recently decided it was time to renovate their kitchen. Conveniently, Employment Consultant Josh Pickering was a wall and floor tiler for 8 years and thought he would offer up his skills while getting everyone, including our clients, involved. Ricky, Cody, Rachel, Damian and Darren all put their hands up to help out and learn some important and valuable life skills, while having some fun. ... This opportunity was a great way to get everyone out of their comfort zones while learning how to prepare surfaces for tiling, mix glue, notch and lay tiles as well as basic measurements and cutting tiles. Our clients assisted Josh by mixing grout, grouting tiles and finishing off by learning how to silicon. The St Arnaud Neighbourhood House are extremely happy with their new kitchen splashback. It was great to see so many clients getting involved for a good cause. Everyone did extremely well and put in an awesome effort while having a good time. A massive thank you goes out to all those involved, we hope everyone had fun and learned some new skills that can hopefully be used again in the future.
