19.01.2022 So, how did your HBF Run for a Reason play out? If you smashed a PR, increased your distance from last year or finished for the first time, let us know in the comments below! For those struggling through a slightly sore Monday, here’s a tip: Make it a priority to STRETCH & ROLL. Stretch all major muscle groups (not just your legs), then use a foam roller to release tightness and tension in specific areas. A spiky massage ball does wonders rolled under the feet too! And if you think you’ve pulled up feeling worse than you should or have woken up to some foot, ankle or leg issues this morning give us a call on (08) 9328 2111! The earlier we can take a look at it, the better

19.01.2022 Have you had a look at your running shoes lately? The novice runner should change running shoes on average every 12 months. If you think your about due, here is an article to help choose the right pair for you.

15.01.2022 Winter netball season is just around the corner (Perth Netball Association - Inc) which means a whole lot of related issues for us to tend to at Axis Podiatry. The high impact of constant jumping and landing on hard surfaces (court or bitumen) can be really problematic. Listen to your body! Our TOP 3 signals to keep an eye on are: 3. Blisters on your feet and toes 2. Knee or ankle soreness during or after games... 1. Foot or calf cramps All can be pretty common in netballers, but that doesn’t mean pain is normal! If you’re suffering any of the above or other netball-related issues, give us a call on (08) 9328 2111.

Asics Lethal Testimonial 4 IT These boots made an appearance on the AFL Football fields everywhere this weekend, from players to umpires, this seems to be the boot of choice for the 2018 season! The Lethal Testimonial 4 IT is a high-performance football boot containing many years of biomechanical research and an array of technological advances in boot construction, designed to shift the body forward, reducing strain on the lower limb and minimising the risk of injury.

05.01.2022 HBF Run for a Reason HALF MARATHON RUNNERS! Listen close: this last week is important! Some key tips to take into these last few days: 1. Don’t stop altogether! Too much rest might leave you feeling sluggish come race day, so keep the blood flowing and body moving. Stick to light, easy runs and avoid hills or high intensity. Don’t be afraid of a light jog on the morning of the 27th May, too. 2. Sleep is critical, so start getting to bed early. You want to be standing at the s...tarting line feeling as fresh as possible. It will put you in the right headspace for the challenge you are about to take on. 3. If you’re a sneaker freak pick your race shoes! Wear a pair that you have previously worn on the longer runs in your training program (or even the last few runs). No new kicks
